Greetings - I am on my first playthrough of Baldur's Gate 2, and I have just entered the Underdark. I am also using the BiG world project megamod. To the point: at the start I realized I could initiate dialog with my party members, and that from time to time they would look at the player character, or say things - and some of it was certainly flirting. As I have a male character and kept Amber, the drow cleric and the female druid with me, there was a good bit of it. It stopped when I finished up the harper questline for Jaheria, as best I can tell - I didn't wish to romance her anyway. The issue now is that I've realized that I can no longer initiate dialog with any of the party members except for Xan and that none of them flirt/are flirtable as far as I can tell. It seems something went wrong and that I was slow on the uptake. I am unsure of what sort of information would be useful, but I will attach a weidu.log.

If I remember rightly, the Jaheira romance (and I think most romances) goes on hold while in the Underdark. With any luck you'll be able to get back to wooing once you make it out the other side.

Is that so? What of the other romances? the BiG world project installed many optional ones, and I was more interested in Amber or somesuch. I am just kind of worried as it has been quite a while since the last NPC flirted and I am unsure how long I have been unable to initiate dialog with my party members besides Xan.

I can't say for sure. But that you've entered the Underdark certainly raises a flag for me. Romances don't usually progress within dungeons (though some modded ones may for all I know), and the Underdark counts as one.

Do you have a save from just before you went into the Underdark that you could check to see if all was well at that point?

From the flirtpack FAQ:

Q: Hey! They're not flirting in SOA! What's wrong?

A: Probably nothing. Aerie and Viconia will not flirt until after their fourth
LOVETALK (LoveTalk=. Jaheira will not flirt until just before or just after
her sixth LOVETALK (LoveTalk=12). Anomen won't flirt until after his fifth
LOVETALK, and then has a series of crabby conversations with the PC, so he
doesn't pick up again until after LT 16. They also will not flirt in the
Underdark, or after cross words have been exchanged, or they're obsessing over
some really heavy issues (Jaheira and the Harpers, late in her romance, between
LoveTalk=59 and =62, or Viconia at the various times she gets angry and
conflicted.)

I maybe unclear in my terms - by "Underdark" I mean the area immediately after the portal in Spellhold. I've tried loading earlier saves (the earliest being right after entering Spellhold) and no luck, though if it is just a matter of location I shall not worry anymore. Perhaps I'm overparanoid, I just recall reading things about Jaheria's romance getting stuck or somesuch, and worry it might thereby prevent progression with other female npcs. Sorry, I'm quite new to Infinity Engine games.

They don't romance in Spellhold either, so that's nothing to worry about. You're probably alright. If you're still stuck when you get back to the surface get back to us, and we can probably find out what flags need setting to get things moving again.
