I have a system with multiple hard drives. My last BG mega mod install went to one of my non system drives, I did this thinking that I wouldnt have to reinstall it if any issues evercropped up with my OS. Recently I upgraded windows and the baldur.exe is taking me to the launcher and is asking me to Install again. Is there any way that I can manually assign the install info as all the files are present and correct in their respective directories>?

Baldur.exe is a waste of time, as it brings up the launcher. Start your game via the bgmain.exe and you'll have no problems.

actually I've fixed it. Because the installation drive now has a different letter assigned to it(it was E:, its now F:) the [alias] section of the baldur.ini file had to be amended to

HD0:=f:\games\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\
CD1:=f:\games\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\CD1\
CD2:=f:\games\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\CD2\;e:\games\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\CD2\
CD3:=f:\games\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\CD3\
CD4:=f:\games\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\CD4\
