BGT ChVidImage3 error

First, i'm sorry for my language mistakes.

I have a problem with BGT, when i'm accused y Ulraunt in Candlekeep. When he finished his talk, my team waited few seconds for Tethoril... but he didn't came - in this moment game crashes with ChVidImage3 error. What should i do? I don't want to reinstall whole game, but i haven't backup files.

A little more detailed description is required before we can really help. First of all, open the file called WeiDU.log with the Notepad, the file should be in the game directory, and then post the text in a post, if the text is longer than ~20 lines, you should put the text in spoiler tags like so:
[spoiler]The Weidu.logs content[/spoiler]
It will produce this:

Which is far easier to read when needed than 200 lines of text...

Then say the exact line... as for example there's a know Assertion error that's caused by the line 889, and the fix is to:

Error retrieving frame information from a BAM in 3D mode. This is most likely bad data. Try clearing out your "cache", "temp",and "tempsave" directories. Failing that, try reinstalling.

Don't do the last bit...

I tried cleaning folders - didn't helped.
Error which i have is casued by line 899.
A lot of my mods are installed in polish language, so i don't know will it help, if you read polish names of components... But here it come:

So basically that's the Polish equivalent of the BWP setup order, but the thing is, you don't have the BiG World Fixpack applied... or it doesn't show up, and mods like the TACTICS and ASCENSION are installed after the BG2Fixpack, which to my understanding cause more harm that way.

Beside those, you do not have the .cre fixer installed... which could be the fixer you need, no promises.

Now, I'll ask this thread to be moved to the right location, as the IE General Help forum is not really the right place to talk about the install order and that sort of things... the new location will be here, the Megamod Help forum.

It could be a problem with tethoril's animation
Could you please post the .cre file and change-log of your tehtoril? the instructions for change-logs are the megamod help forum, in the faq topic

to extract the .cre file, you can use near infinity; the file is TETHTO2.cre
could you please also post the AR6531.bcs file?

Those files seem exactly the same as mine.

Did it crash after ulraunt disappeared, and did tethtoril not appear at all?

Need the full message that appears after the crash in your baldur.err text file. See Jarno's signature for more instructions. Offhand, it appears to be some sort of video problem but I don't think it's a creature animation (which rarely gives an error message of any sort).

And that's me again. I reinstalled game, made changes with mods, started new character... And i have the same problem again. Here is the message from baldur.err :

I start to worry, that it can be problem with GeneralBiffing (it have something to do with .bam files, or am i wrong?), and i only made the copy of Ovverdrive (before biffing).

Witch resolution setting are you using ? As you don't have the Widescreen mod, the simplest explanation for the crash is that you would be using the an unsupported resolution setting...

Yes, i'm using unsupported 1024x768 (because i couldn't install Widescreen mod), but changing resolution to 800x600 didn't help...

What are you looking at when that happens - an item icon, a character animation or what?

If you can't install Widescreen (or any other mod) then that's symptomatic of a larger problem.

Ulraunt goes away, then is showed communicat, that the journal is updated, and in the same moment game crashes. I don't know why excatly Widescreen can't be installed, conflict with other installed mods, or it works only with English version of ame? I have no idea. But i also couldn't installed a few of components of mods (for example Better mages from SCS II).

I think your game is messed up - you might want to try a reinstall with clean CDs. Especially if you're getting something like a corrupt BAM that early in the game. Might want to post the contents of your WeiDU.log too (in SPOILER tags) for specific mod issues, though that won't help much if your base game was messed up.

I tried cheating the game - by teleporting to Candlekeep catacombs, but it didn't help - after return to Baldur's Gate i haven't any communicat about new chapter, there is no Tamoko etc. It seems, that this update of journal during talk with Ulraunt is crucial to scripts. Maybe i will post my save game, and then someone with similiat configuration of mods (BGT, BG1 NPC, Item Revisions, Spell Revisions, SCS I & II) will play 5 minutes, have cut-scene after arresting and save game in catacombs?

Google search for this problem... would indicate that one of the files has failure that's related to minimal levels and them .bam not existing for the levels under that.
Now then, we only need to find the file in question, --change-log it and then report the error to the proper authorities.

I have a difficulties with change-loggins this ChVidImage - even with instruction. It seems, that I'm to dumb to properly use this :-P
Maybe it will be easier to just skip this problem - here is link to my savegame (click on pobierz) - can someone just go upstairs, and save game after talk with Ulraunt?

¤¤¤ the file cannot be --change-log'ged cause it's not the problem, the file that causes this problem has incorrect determinants in the files structure and so the game flips because of that... so we need to identify the file that causes this, either it's the .cre file, or the .itm file, the spell file... the creature hasand that's hard because you don't have the standard install, made by the BWS.

Edit, could you change.log the Flame Strike spell, the file name is "SPPR503.spl" ... this is because the spell has been assigned to his 4th level on the creature(TETHTO2.CRE), but it's actually a 5th level spell. <_<
