Hi everyone,

I have a problem with my current BWP installation. I have inadvertently installed some mod components that resulted in some sounds and item descriptions being overwritten with German versions - the BWP guide said they'd be not installed, while the BiG_World_Install.bat did actually install them. Now I have started to play, and while I'm German and can understand everything, I usually play the English versions and find the occasional language switch increasingly jarring. If I re-install the whole thing from scratch without the relevant components from Jarl's BGT Tweak Pack, will my latest savegames - about 10-12 hours old - continue to function, or will in-game text be turned into gibberish? I really don't want to start a new game, since the first two levels were annoying enough with the xp reduction and almost no mod content yet to counter it.

Well, the in game text will be gibberish if you load the pre-install-made saves, so you need to restart the game to have no text gibbs.

I think it should only become gibberish is you've met people/got objects/visited places introduced or modified by a mod, because that's when they get copied to your .gam and .sav files. for example, I once had to reinstall the whole game and mods when I was passing from bg1 to bg2 in bgt. I didn't install exactly the same mods, and I changed the order for some npcs, but the only mistakes I got were all texts related to Indira (and they were easy to correct with NI)
