Hi

I am a new user and it's the first time I'm trying these (suppose to be) very cool enhancements (mods).

I'm very excited

I have a problem though-

I've launched Big World Setup.vbs and did as instructed in the installation instructions by Leomar (http://www.shsforums...project-bwp-v90)

It all went fine, the BigWorldInstall.bat automatically started, I went through all the options I was asked to put, and it worked for a couple of hours.

When I came back to check it out it was in a loop of "Invalid Directory Name". I left it there for some good several hours- but nothing happened.

I tried it three times, I even deleted the whole BG folder from c:\ and made the whole process again.

What do I do now?

I'm using a new computer with win7.

I'm not really good with programming stuff, I just like BG...

Pls help

Thnx

Yet again, wrong forum... this should be here.

Pls help

Well, open the game folder and archive the "BiG World Debug.txt" into a .rar, .zip or .7z and attach it into a post(you archive the file as it can reduces the size about 40 times), so we can see what happened.

Deactivated account. The user today is known as The Imp.

Sorry for the wrong location of my topic, I'm a bit new in these things. How should I change it?

In any case I've attached all of my Debug.txt files (11 of them).

Thanks for the help.

You can't change it, it's a moderators job and within their powers :)

Also your post is very unclear so it's impossible to pinpoint the problem, that's why people need "BiG World Debug.txt" for instance. I doubt you need to pack 11 debug.txts so I hope you packed the file mentioned above among others.

Btw if you are new to this stuff the probability that you'll made a mistake during another installation is high so I suggest you to make backups. You can look here for some tips

I've had the same problem as the inital problem that Boaz is describing (i think) with BGT not recognizing my BG install path. I have it fully installed in C:\BiG World\Black Isle\Baldur's Gate however I get the following error cycling continuously:

Enter the full path to your Baldur's Gate installation
then press Enter.
------------------------------------------------------
Checking C:/Program Files/Black Isle/Baldur's Gate
----------------------------------------------------------------
Invalid Baldur's Gate directory, or
incorrect Baldur's Gate installation.

It is safe to abort this installation by closing this window, or
pressing Ctrl+Break three times.

I'm not prompted to enter my install path, it keeps checking the incorrect one. I checked all my files, they are all there (none missing). Btw i've done this as this error is reported in the BGT forums due to corrupted/damaged CDs not copying all the files over. I'm posting this again here as I am not sure if this a problem with BGT or BiG World. The install path on the BiG World setup is correct.

Should i simply copy my BG1 install to the path that BGT is searching?

Other than BGT and all the mods dependent upon it, my BiG World install went well.

Thanks for any help you guys can provide.
