Could someone make a list of what the context is supposed to be for each file in a soundset? I'm going to make some PC soundsets with HQ equipment. Some, like leadership change, are obvious. A few I don't quite understand from the existing ones.

I refer you to these "furious" :woot: topics, if you have more specific questions do not hesitate, we will try to answer them the best of our knowledge (however limited  ) :

1) About Soundset
2) Customs Sounds Ideas
3) IE Soundset

" music soothes the soul " :whistling:

Sources :

Data Sounds Base

Tool :

PS GUI

SoundSet:

Here is a very good Charac. Sounds Compilation -_- : (Attached Files) :D For Baldur (BG1/BG2)

These are sounds converted (with IWD Voice Pack Converter by Greystar) of Icewind Dale : 1, 2 and Extension ; plus a few guests ...

-To unzip, and to integrate sounds files into the sound directory of the game (BG1 or BG2), and read from the Custom/Sound/Game U.I.,
-Or to read with a Game Editor like Near Infinity (N.I.).,

-Sounds exploitables, also,
for NPCs or other charac/avatars (in the case of a Single, Multiplayer, Single / Multiplayer Game),
for Mods (NPC, KIT, etc) ...

Enjoy, ^_^ !

P.S. :
Also it would be nice of you to tell us what are your skills of engineering sound,
because I like put online a database of different sounds from the role play games and if you actually enjoys a high level of equipment you could attend ...
Also I enjoy more ambient sounds in Baldur, if you have something to offer us at long term it would be great...

N.B.
FYI, if you want a precise correlation between BG and IWD Soundset,
As above for BG2, here are the references of the sounds of IWD2 from the manual of the Game .

Eric: Yes.

Salomon: I have an M-Audio cound card and pre-amp and SM58 mic. I use Sound Forge for recording. It was originally for recording songs.

I'm looking to come up with more gnomish/dwarfish/orcish voices lacking in the stock sets of BG2. I just have to take a break from playing to get around to it. Hehe. I will upload it when done. I don't have Icewind Dale 2, btw.

Yeah, so, two years later I'm working on a serious voice set.  The human set is mostly done.  I'm trying to concoct some really goofy stuff for the Orc/Gnome.
Here is what I have so far: http://speedy.sh/23M8a/BG2-Voice-Sets.7z
Please critique.
