@ Yovaneth

We ensure the accents are authentic by having people do the voice acting who actually possess those accents. Then they can focus on the acting and not the accent.

The vast majority of the accents in DAO are authentic.

So. the Qunari really walk around with bare chests and painted baskets on their shoulders... No wonder their invasions never made it that far. .p

Really hate the way they've been saving polygons on the plate armors though. .p

Seriously, those chestplates look like they're designed to catch falling breadcrumbs and spilt drinks rather than deflect swords...

Yeah, I don't know what they were thinking to change the Origins Darkspawn like that...

Well, that's the first mod idea for DA II then! Restored Origins Darkspawn, also known as R.O.D.

Mmm... I wouldn't say the polygons are all bad, although it still shows which is odd. My guess that's just them trying to cut off the possibility of being way too high end for the general crowd, which considering that's a normal thing for Bioware I wouldn't say is anything unexpected - or bad. We'll know soon enough how it differs to the technology of the first game.

Still doesn't change how silly some things look though; I could almost swear I see JRPG written all over these outfits... nevermind the stances.

Well, that's the first mod idea for DA II then! Restored Origins Darkspawn, also known as R.O.D.

 When you think about it, titles of similar nature could've very well been created for the first game as well. Considering the way they marketed the whole series, themes and everything, it's kinda been in the asking for it too.

I think the thing that bugs me the most is the teeth.

DA:o Darkspawn - I rip yer to shreads with my teeth!

DA2 Darkspawn - I chew my food and brush daily!

Ok, so that post is lengthy... now I'm just left wondering if I should get this or whether there's a Collector's Edition on the way? Hm.

Aha, found the answer! (All dev posts can be read here.)

As I have said, we are updating our page with retailers as we get confirmation from the retailers that their pre-order page is ready. Just because you do not see your favorite store or country listed does not mean it is excluded. It just means we haven't updated the page yet. Check with yur local preferred retailer or online vendor to be sure.

Oh and:

THIS IS THE COLLECTOR's EDITION

After January 11, 2011 people will still be able to buy Dragon Age 2, but it will be a standard copy without all the cool free stuff included in the Signature Edition.

So get to ordering. :)

I have to admit, I caved and preordered a signature version... You have to say, it does look rather fetching and all those cool bonuses look pretty sweet (like the soundtrack, for instance... ).
Also, it would seem that Europe has now been redefined to mean "everything outside the United States of America". ^_^

I pre-ordered one as well, only cost me 36.40? (incl. shipping) - not bad for a Collector's Edition. :)

Or NA, BioWare is Canadian after all. ;)

Urr...I normally hold out a month or two to get the game cheaper. But I may just have to get this.
In fact I might have to get Fallout New Vegas next week because I've run out of stuff to play.

Damn, this looks awful! Better make sure they buy it quick, before the reviews come out!

How about you give me something more than a handful of crummy alpha screenshots before you come begging for my money, Bioware? How about even a single official trailer that uses in-game footage? ...How about cutting all ties with EA? No?

Well, I hear The Witcher 2 is looking pretty good right now...

Don't you know that "United States of America" has been redefined to include 51 states, Canada being the 51st!! (I'm kinda half serious though, we didn't even have to punch in an international code when we wanted to call Canada from the US)
Mine was pretty cheap too, only 37 pounds, which is 43? with today's rate. Not too bad for a Collector's Edition, even if it is more expensive than yours, but I don't want to preorder a French one...

Honestly, I'm willing to give BioWare the benefit of the doubt. I'm willing to bet that those screenshot are raw graphics, that they haven't been reworked just yet, and that DA2 will look as good as DA:O. At least, I'm willing to hope. ^_^

I'm trusting them to fix the technical aspects of the graphics... They did say they were going to upgrade things. But that style. Blech. xP

DAO graphics were all about drawing inspiration from history and such, trying to bring some suspension of disbelief with a hint of realism. But this, this is just 'O hey, feck it, let's just hang some cast iron saucepans and dead minks on 'em and call it a day'. o_o

I do trust them enough not to mess up the story or characters, so yeah, I'll prolly get the game, maybe even pre order, but still... I don't get what the hell they've gotten into their heads with the graphics here. xP

I guess you could also say that the UK makes 52. :P

ShopTo.Net has the Signature Edition going for 27.85£ + 2.50£ for first class international delivery. That's even cheaper (well, a bit anyway) than my retailer here in Finland, but I thought to play safe with the delivery times. I suppose they'd deliver pretty quickly to France though.

Hey, I made some Final Fantasy references earlier... :P

Verkkokauppa.com has the Åland-based pre-order going for 36.40? (incl. shipping) if you decide to pre-order.

Oh, thats nice, thanks. Didn't catch anything there a few days back, and since they're not listed on Biow site I thought they didn't have it (though I guess it should be kinda obvious they won't list every damn local shop xP ).
