In other news, the big mysterious Feb 1 reveal is... a closed beta for the Failbook game.
And not a single shit was given on this day.

As previously mentioned, the Feb 1st demo was just a hoax, but there will be a public access demo available on February 23rd. On a related note, GameStop employees have access to the demo right now:
While I obviously don't work for GameStop, I would imagine that the demo will somehow appear where it shouldn't before next week. Mind you, this is just a prediction, and I'm not encouraging you to go looking for anything. This early demo access is being granted to Gamestop employees only. Any form of distribution, recording, posting of any elements of the Dragon Age 2 demo and any of its files is strictly prohibited until February 23, 2011 when the demo is made available to all consumers.

where is it
where
Edit: a dive into the bubbling cesspool that is the official bio boards seems to indicate that the "early" demo won't be released until feb 11. No idea if it's true, but I have no desire to explore that place further.

The demo? Well, it's real for sure, it's on the official BioWare subsite after all. I can't really vouch for my prediction though, but it's what I think will happen. We'll get the demo on the 23rd anyway.
although i would estimate it 45% likely this one is also a hoax

Meet Anders. Some of you may remember Anders from Dragon Age: Origins Awakening, but this mage has changed. Now bonded with the Spirit of Justice, his anger at the Circle of Magi has corrupted Justice into the Spirit of Vengeance. Everyday is now a struggle to contain the spirit within, and everyday it becomes harder to control.
This is not the Anders you remember.
Damn. My Awakening epilogue clearly stated that both Justice and Anders spent the many remaining years of their lives with the Grey Wardens, presumably in Amaranthine. Now what? Grrr, I say.

And there's a new trailer, Champion or something. Here: http://dragonage.bio...om/da2/gallery/
Really, I have a feeling that romantically all we're getting in DA2 is Warden's leftovers. Much as I love Warden, it's unfair.
- We get Isabella, who is - first, a slut(which to me is certainly NOT good), and second, Warden might've slept with her(mine didn't, as he was just as annoyed by the idea as his lover Morrigan was).
- We get Merrill - who grew up with my Dalish Warden, and the Dragon Age Wiki even indicated at one point that there were hints of a former romance buried somewhere in the engine.
- We get Anders - yet the female Warden had quite a few flirty lines with him, and as of patch 1.4, the "friend" state still shows "love".
Now what? Leliana would come for seconds?
EDIT: I automatically wrote "BG2" instead of "DA2". Heh.

Yeah, it seems a bit... odd, to say at least. Well, at least I hope that they're not including Leliana & co, and saying that the Warden's love interests would cheat on him/her, provided that a romance was initiated in the imported save game. Anyway... why the heck would Anders go anywhere near Kirkwall? I mean, it's full of templars. There have to be better places to go.The horror! The horror!

Isabela also seems like Miranda 2.0 (ME2), but with less clothing and more sluttishness (yes, it's a word). While I think that Sheryl Chee wrote Leliana well, I'm not entirely convinced that Isabela will turn out as well.
I don't know what to think of Merrill yet, as Mary Kirby didn't write any of the romances in Origins. I think I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. This time.
The champion trailer... meh.

I have to say, I'm looking forward to this more than before - at least now, Warrior is a viable option, whereas in Origins, it was definitely the weakest class. I think my first playthrough will be M!Hawke raging through everything as a 2H Berserking Templar, much to Bethany's delight
Personally I found rogue to the weakest...at least when you dual wield...My strongest warden by far was my rogue who was an archer...especially when you get to awakening and get all the new talents!
