Ok, here's what I get when trying to run either the fixpack or the BWP install.bat...

What did I do wrong?

P.S. Apologies if this was asked before, I can't find it.

P.P.S. I'm running on Win7 as you can see, so please don't say that my OS is the problem. :(

Thanks,
devicem.

What did I do wrong?

Probably nothing... that you did was wrong, but the BWS just doesn't update the renamed-WeiDU.exe's that are the setup-*modname*.exe's to the right version... as you can see, the picture reports the WeiDU.exe to be v185... so it's time to go back to basics, run the BWS again and do the whole setup again, and once it's done the downloading and extracting again, it will prepare for the install by starting the 'BiG World Install.bat', now it will then ask the language and install options, but what you need to do is to quit it.... then manually start one of the setup-*modname*.exe's and let it run the auto-update, but do not install a thing. If the update succeeds, you can then start the 'BiG World Install.bat', and go on with that... the first answer here should give you clues on what's happening.

Maybe you don't have to run the BWS again.
Change to your BG2 installation-directory.
Look at your WeiDU.log. It should be empty since all commands failed.
If there are some entries, you may have to run the corresponding setup and uninstall everything -- but as said, it should be empty.
Replace WeiDU.exe with a copy of WeiDU\WeiDU.exe.
Then run the BiG World Install.bat again. It has a routine to replace the Setup-X.exe-files which are also copies of WeiDU.exe

If there are many entries in the WeiDU.log, restoring a backup maybe the better solution.

And just a few questions:
The BWS should have done the replacing of WeiDU.exe.
Was there any note that something failed?
Did you extract some files on your own before the batch was started?

Yes, in fact, I extracted them all by myself, after downloading them myself, I have a download limit from my ISP so I cannot afford a BWS to do that for me, but it shouldn't matter anyway since it's practically the same just automated version of what I'm doing manually. Anyway I updated the Weidu.exe and did as Jarno suggested, and the BW Install.bat runs smoothly now, so I guess I'll take a break for a couple of hours. :)

Ah, you didn't use the BWS -- so that solves my issue. :D

Just since I'm curious:
What's the main thing that freaked you out so decided to do some manual work?
-the size of the BWS itself
-the fixed items
-...

The size no doubt, as I said, all the mods that I have accumulated so far are a product of 5-6 months of downloading and with the constant new versions coming out, I just delayed the installation of BWP for days, weeks, months. Now that I have a decent amount of around 300+ mods I am good to go.

Oh, and mods, you can close the topic, problem resolved, thanks Jarno.

Ah, I thought you wanted a small installation to fit the BWP into one month's bandwidth.
Because you have a different approach, yours also makes sense.

Here's my BWP install. In any way this install was more of a test, so I'll be doing a "re", but just in case I want to know which components I should leave out.

Spoiler

If you happen to find what's wrong (@Jarno), can you mail it to me? I have trouble keeping track of threads.
