New BWP install, some questions

If it did finish, I am wondering about a few more things. In BG1, the watcher who asks if you want to skip the prologue is up around the corner of the castle keep instead of right next to you when the game starts. Is that normal? The second thing is, when I tested BG2 quickly, Imoen is level 10 and the rest of the starting characters (including NPC Branwen) are level 6 or 7. Jaheira is 6/7 dual class and Branwen is maybe 6 or 7 fighter/battleguard of tempus. If this is all normal, just let me know so I can stop worrying. Thank you.

The final stage check's all the mods that should be installed, it gives you a list that you can scroll upwards and then quits... so probably, it did finish. The BWP install finished early this morning while I was asleep. I got up and looked at the progress and the window said something about a "Mod Check 2". It went through a few screens of 'press a key to continue', and then the window closed itself. Did installation really finish or not?
If Imoen is just pure thief, her class requirement are lower that others to reach higher levels...
And the watcher was moved when the mod was updated...

What's Jaheiras class?Ok, does anyone know if the 'Level 1 NPC' mod adversely affects BG1? I just now (slow player) got to the Friendly Arm Inn and Jaheira has points in quarterstaff and sling but is wielding a crossbow. I'm not sure if the Level 1 NPC mod is causing that, but I thought I'd ask. Imoen is also a charming rogue right from the get-go in Candlekeep.
The crossbow would indicate that you have NEJ installed... as the "special" kit can use that, the Level1NPCs gives the NPCs a few weapons in... but it should give them the items the proff points use, but it doesn't remove many items either, so the crossbow is from the NEJ...
Now Imoens class of course is the charming rogue because the same thing, the NEJ makes her that(or the BGTNEJ)... so you'll have to install the Level1NPCs component #1206 if you wish to change that and start a new game. And Jaheira is #1207.

Yeah, that's the Cleric Kit from the NEJ/BGTNEJ, who is supposed to be able to use the crossbows because the mod just copied over it's own on top of anything else before it.Jaheira is a Fighter 1 / Priest of Sylvanus 1.

Also, NEJ is installed right at the beginning, so other mods should not be affected - if they'd be.

Well, there is no such a thing as NEJ/BGTNEJ... see, there is NEJ2v42b and NEJ(2)v602(this is a patch for the v42b), and then there's NeJ2v691 and it's (NEJ2v694) patch, they are all mods that works well on their own, but when compiled with within the BWS, they still have their share of bugs to be sorted out, as no one has verified that it works with everything else... and it actually cannot, but later more on that.Just so I'm clear, NEJ/BGTNEJ basically copies it's own content over any other similar mods but doesn't actually break anything? If I have a bad install I need to correct it. Thanks.
Now, there's a lot of other NEJ related mods;
There is the BGTNeJ2 v1.1, which makes the BG2 to have some NEJ2 content, like portraits, kits, boo familiar etc. without the NEJ mod needing to be installed.
Then there is the BGTNEJ2v12 'compatibility mod' that brings the same stuff, but it needs both BGT, and NEJ2v42b + NEJ(2)v602... it's updated by Leomar, and so.
And then there's a countless other older mods to add to that.
The reason why the compatibility is such a mess is that as soon as the vX of the NEJ gets tested with the mod X, Y, Z, C, V, B etc. there is always 20 other mods that are added to the BWS mix and so the test will need to be done again. And why the NEJ as a mod is still in the BWS eXpert install.
Now, there has been at least a few tries that made it to a release, first one being a BP-BGT-NEJ2 that was reliant on a strict mod detail, like version numbers etc. as it was the true Big Picture, not just the BP.
But that became old... there a bit more on here, on the 9th answer...
So as there has no been very many conformed success stories that work without a hitch because the BWS is a modern -'choose what you wish to install' and the "BiG World Install.bat" will install them to the best of it's ability style install process.
And the compatibility is such a hard thing as theres countless of options on how the setup is eventually done, as for example the BG2 Fixpack can itself be installed in ~1.216451 × 10^17 ways(=19!) , and then there's the things like overwriting every cheesed existing vanilla crossbow when you install a kit, because you had to make them usable by the x-kit alone.
