OK. New version v0.26 is here.

If you are upgrading, uninstall the older versions and remove the old version's folder.

This versions fixes three bugs present only on the Enhanced Edition games and changes the hotkey to remove the Multikit to 'N' (required to fix one of the three bugs).

oh and by the way, why not ask BWS to add such mod to his list?

Yeah, me too, but it's gonna be a pain to code.
oh and by the way, why not ask BWS to add such mod to his list?
I'd rather test it before. I have no idea how it behaves with Refinements and it chunks if there's a missing HLA on the LU* file. I'll polish it a bit more (until it's bug-free on BG2, Enhanced Edition games will have to wait a bit).

Just wanna say thanks for updating this. I've wanted to use it for a long time, but the original's bugs always got in the way. I'll be sure to try out the new version when I get around to my next playthrough. :new_thumbs:

Cannot append column-wise because there are 9 lines in clabfi01.2da but I was on
ly given 7 things to append

I get the same append column error with ver 0.26 on a clean BGEE/BGEE2 install.  However ver 0.25 installs correctly.  Is it safe to stick with 0.25 or should I wait for a fix?

I wouldn't recommend so, but if it installs, then it's aright. You won't be able to remove the kit unless you edit the script manually or re-map the Quick Load key as anything else but L. Please do post the whole setup-m7multikit.debug file here or e-mail it to crevs dot daak at gamil do com. I'd like to take a look at it.

Mmm, they are actually different errors, one on the code's side which I'll fix right now. Edit: fixed, thanks for reporting it :) .

I think you can fix the "Cannot append column-wise because there are 9 lines in clabfi01.2da but I was only given 7 things to append" error by installing the "Revome XP cap" component from the BG2 Tweak pack, but I'll have to squeeze the other bug first...

OK. Another just pushed another update. Version 0.27 is out guys!

This makes the Multikit mod partially compatible with Refinements and fully compatible with mods that reference inexistent HLAs (Divine Remix for example).

Thanks for the update.  Unfortunately I was not able to install it to either BGEE or BG2EE (clean installs).  It's stopping at "Core Multikit Files" this time.

Hey, new here. Nice work on this mod. FYI, for BG2EE, I'm trying to create and install a Kensai / Mage multikit (cliche, I know). I can create it OK, but on install, it throws this error:

The install of the multikit then quits (although the .exe is still running).

Nice work catching that one, it was there since I wrote the code for the first time.

This version (v0.27.2) fixes a bug that caused installation to fail on Enhanced Edition games if a non-Thief multi-class combination was chosen.

The error:

This is one of those known ones that has an easy fix.... one just has to insert **** and certain amount of spaces to in a repeated manner to fill in two lines in one of the other tables. It's like an ease of print error.

AKA, the function that does this has to be remade a bit. Particularly the reading of the file needs to check how many lines the start file has and/or auto fill in the assumed lines if there are none in the current file.

Hmmm... I can see in NI that my clabfi01.2da has 9 lines..

So, where I am supposed to find the file to edit (the one with 7 lines) ?

 

I am not a modder, but I quickly looking or in files in m7multikit folder and I have not found where to edit this file (or this part of file).
