What's the very first line of the .debug file ? It tells the weidu.exe's version...

Nope. You can only have a thief kit, in the combination of mage/cleric and fighter kits in the same character. As there's no Paladin/Fighter/Mage class.

Hey. Can I use this mod to create party of 2 or more(multiplayer save copy to single player trick) muliclassed multikitted heroes without errors? Or for example all my characters will have swashbuckler armor bonus or something like that?

Well yes you should be able to.

Just make a multiplayer game, make multiclass chars, then save the game, switch the save folder location in the game_install_folder, load the single player game and enable the scripts the MMKM makes for you for each char with the correct individual classes for the combo.

I'd really like to use this mod but it seems to be bugged. Any time I make a kit combo it changes all base classes to be the version used in my multikit. e.g. If i make a WizardSlayer/Assassin kit then all base fighters will have the magic resist from Wizard Slayer class and all thieves will have the additional backstab from the Assassin class.

I tested it with just a base install and still had the same issue so I don't think it's a mod incompatability.

I have taken the liberty to update this mod to work with the Enhanced Edition and fixed a bug which caused the base classes to get all the abilities from the multikit (described in the previous post, too).

Remember that it's still in beta and bugs (more) may arise/appear, be it because of the EE handling things in a different way or because there's an error anywhere that could affect the mod. I have not packed WeiDU with the mod so you'll have to get it from here.

Hey Crevs Daak: I have just downloaded the EE-version you have linked to in your post, but I have headbutted right into a problem on install.

 

Is it possible, that you haven't included the setup-file?

I can unzip to my BG-folder, but the setup-m7_tweaks.exe is not included. If I unzip to an empty folder, the same is evident.

As a test, I tried using the setup from FlameWings v0.24, but the respons was a "setup-multikit.tp2 not found".

 

Any help i greatly appreciated.

It's a mighty fine idea FlameWing have turned to code, and you help with making an EE-version get a huge :new_thumbs: .

You have to make the file from the weidu.exe by extracting it from the linked file(the windows file is the link next to the "Window Binary" title), and renaming the extracted "weidu.exe" in the game folder as the "setup-m7multikit.exe", and then run it ... or you can use any of the other weidu.exe files in the game folder as long as it's up to date to v23700, it's the same very file in every weidu mod.

Well, I'll give some advice: when installing in the Enhanced Edition games, be sure that if you make a multikit with a Cleric kit, DON'T CHOOSE THE SECOND ONE THAT SAYS "Priest of Lathander" (it's actually another thing and it might be terribly bugged).

I guess I just level'ed up my Weidu skill right there - thanks for that!

 

The Multikit-mod is installede, but it will take some fiddleing around to see if I can get it to work "in-game" :)

 

Ill likely return with more naive questions if I encounter more bumps on the road.

I have 2 questions :

 - what if I install this mod in both BG1EE and BG2EE... will I be able to take my char from BG1 to BG2 ?

 - is the HLA problem fixed ?

You will have to look in to the files in the game and ensure that the kit numbers( the last number aka "kitids") and kit name(the rowname) in the "kitlist.2da" -file is an exact match, generally you get them to be the exact same by installing the same kits to both games in the same order and same plah plah plah.. and if they don't match, you are screwed.
 
And you might wish to add these rows to the BG1EE's file before you go and install the MMBM mod to it:

Another way to do that is to open the BG2EE game with Near Infinity, export the file and copy paste it to the BG1EE's override folder...

The best way to pass a multikit from BG:EE -> BG2:EE would be installing the same in both, and after killing Sarevok, pause the game and disable the kit. Then enable it again at the start of BG2.


The only bug regarding HLAs is that if there's an invalid HLA (missing for example), installation cannot procede (crashes, making that kit impossible to be used in a multikit). Also, there's 0 compatibility with Refinements, it'll bug everything out (this something I'll eventually remedy).


Imp, that is if you're lazy and are using a kit that can't be disabled when clicking a single button.

To disable the multikit you have to press 'L'... but that triggers the Quick Load on Enhanced Edition games. Crap. I also still have to edit the readme.
