Has anyone else run into items whose descriptions seem to be missing some ...line breaks? Is that the correct term?

Anyway, as seen on the screen shots: some items descriptions display the stats and backstory neatly while some are just unpleasant mess.
Is there a way to fix them? Or do I just ignore and keep playing? Or am I even at the right place to begin with

I run the game at 1024x768 resolution and have installed the following mods, tweaks and fixes:
Bigg's widescreen mod, Ghostdogs UI mod, Ultimate WeiDu Fixpack, Qwinn's Unfinished business, Qwinn's PS:T Tweak Pack and Eddys nvidia fix.
I think I've set the font size to 40%.

Let me look into it... it may be that a recent version of my file containing the english fixes got messed up in terms of CR/LF versus LF for line breaks.

The UI doesn't touch item descriptions, so it's probably what Qwinn said.

Yeah, I strongly suspect it's my fault.

Note that the CR/LF issue is one I've been *agonizingly* aware of since version 1.0, and I was pretty meticulous about avoiding the problem up until, I'm pretty sure, version 4.0. But in 4.1, due to a computer switch, I no longer have the same word processor that didn't create the problem just by loading and saving with it (MS Word 2000). Using OpenOffice now. It's really the only thing I don't use ConText for, cause ConText does cause it too, and maybe I just messed up and opened and saved it with that.

Anyways. I'm going to try to test and see if I can get the problem resolved with a word processor I have access to. If not, then I'll just put the v4.0 dialogfixes.tph back into play, since the changes between those two versions of that file really was pretty minimal.

ANYWAYS. That plan is reliant upon me being right that there weren't any complaints about this before v4.1. Can anyone remember differently?

Yep. Took a hex editor to the files, and it is indeed a 4.1 problem. Attached to this post is the v4.0 version of dialogfixes.tph, compressed. Just extract this into PST-Fix/tph, replacing the existing file. I'll update the downloadable version with a fixed 4.1 version soon as I can, but please go with this for now, you can probably count the number of text fixes between the two versions on one hand.

Sorry for the error.

Happy to see a solution but this is exactly the problem that I reported (twice) a couple of weeks ago. Original message here.

I downloaded the file and replaced it as instructed, but I'm sorry to report that it didn't help. At least for me, that is. While at it, I started a new game to make sure, but the problem persists.
If it helps to investigate, the earliest items with this problem were a charcoal charm and a lesser dustman embalming charm from mortuarys 2nd floor.

I know, Salk, I apologize, I've been crazily busy this last month.

noutaja, I'm sorry, I should've added that, after replacing the file, you should double click the Setup-PST-Fix.exe file and, when prompted, tell it to reinstall the Fixpack.

No need for any apology!

I can but just be grateful for your work.

Once you have more time you might want to check on my latest submissions.

That did the trick. Thanks a lot and keep up the good work!

I just did a mini-release 4.11 to take care of this problem. Again, sorry for the inconvenience.

I'm just glad that you and all the other modders out there care about these old games so much that you take the time and effort to make them enjoyable again.
