I'm not sure what I should include in this report; here are the last entries form my Baldur.log file:

:doh: But remember, knowledge is power and I wasn't told that the XP was reduced in stages...

Additionally, there is no action for setting XP, only for incrementing or decrementing XP.

Well, ok then, but it's most likely done via AddXPObject(*target,**amount) -action that is script action. Now, if no-one is able to find the script responsible with that, then it's high time to use the LStest and see what action is taken...

i just find that the xp problem is caused by scsII,but i can't find the script responsible with that.
if i don't install scsII,my party's xp is right,but if i installl scsII my party's xp is reduced to 2.95 million after i load

Afaict SCS has thousands of somponents and is installed right in the middle of a BWP install :unsure: Dunno how you're repeatedly installing/uninstallin something and playing normally (through the BWP atleast :Bow:)

if i install without scsII,my xp is normal.
but if i install with scsII,my xp is reduced after i load.

ok since there's no reaction, I decided to write what differences from Asthner's post I've found in my problem.
I've installed tactics version not standart one.
I exit candlekeep and then start playing everything's ok (although had to turn ambient sound off it lags awfully) i meet Imoen, Xsar/Monty and then when I exit to the world map I get the same error as Asthner. Assertion line 1246.
Baldur's gate log last entry (basically nothing):

DavidW has been absent these past months and no one has been answering questions in his stead.
I would suggest you work on narrowing down the cause before you post anywhere about it. Even if SCSII is causing it, it's a pretty big mod, you know?

If you believe it?s a script that?s causing this XP reduction, you can look to the script (DPLAYER3.BCS and co) running on your character, because like baldur.BCS they run all the time ( if the party AI is on )

But this XP reduction to 2.95 million looks more like an engine glitch than a script feature.

Testing this may be tricky in a megamod install

It would require backing up your BGmain.exe and restoring a vanilla one (like the one in your A6XPPATCH folder), then trying to begin a new game ( the initiation would be enough) with TobExLoader.exe and a full ini. and see if cluaing 3 000 000 XP would stay after a reload.

(Don?t try to load a save, it would crash because of IA and don?t load the game with baldur.exe, it would crash for too many song)

After that you can restore your BGmain.exe (no harm would have been done to your game)

I tried that but for some reason TobexLoader is giving me an error when I run it.

Since that wasn't working, just deselected script on a character (all characters have SCS ease of use scripts) and tried the cheat CLUAConsole:SetCurrentXp("3500000") and nothing happens. Then with SCS script selected and still nothing, xp stays at 2.95 million or less.

Weird thing is if party just kills stuff and gets xp eventually it will go above 2.95 million (without loading a save).

Again, I'll be a peev and ask you whether you're absolutely positiely sure SCS is the one causing it ... There are BG2Tweaks components below it in the WeiDU.log, so how are you sure it's not one of them?? :P

But, looking at your WeiDU, it's a given now that one of these mods (SCSII, BG2Tweaks, BGT, BG2Fixpack :o) is doing this ... that's pretty good narrowing down from 300+ mods :coolthumb:

Need the text from the Baldur.err file, not baldur.log. "Assertion line 1246" isn't good enough, because we need to know what the assertion actually is.

Also ToBExLoader isnt really running for me, since its now put in TobEx folder and when I try to run it nothing really happens, empty msg window pops up. But game starts normally with BGMain.

Copy the ToBExLoader to where BGMain is (the main BGII-SoA folder) and try to run it :)

Well, baldur.log is not smart enough to tell us what the missing resource is, unfortunately. I assume you mean the area after Candlekeep where Gorion gets ambushed (Lion's Way). If so, export and attach the ar6600.are file from your game with an editor (DLTCEP or Near Infinity) and attach it here. Also while you're in the editor, view the ar6600.bcs file and copy and paste the contents here in spoiler tags (or attach it). Basically, for every CreateCreature reference there, you'll have to do the same from the console to see which one is bad, and then do a --change-log on that creature to see which mod is the culprit (time-consuming, but that's how to fix it).

Again, I'll be a peev and ask you whether you're absolutely positiely sure SCS is the one causing it ... There are BG2Tweaks components below it in the WeiDU.log, so how are you sure it's not one of them?? :P

But, looking at your WeiDU, it's a given now that one of these mods (SCSII, BG2Tweaks, BGT, BG2Fixpack :o) is doing this ... that's pretty good narrowing down from 300+ mods :coolthumb:

because if i don't install SCSII,my party's xp is right,my party's xp is reduced to 2.95million after i install SCSII.

so i think this is caued by SCSII.
