FNVCE. Yeah, they're doing one and it's looking up to match the one for FO3. Here are the details & a screenshot of what you're getting for your money. For comparison, the regular edition looks rather lame. I might buy this CE, although I reserve the possibility to change my mind completely at any time. Opinions, criticism?

This week we unveiled the Fallout®: New Vegas? collector's edition (CE) for Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, and Games for Windows. The limited collector's edition is now available for pre-order in North America. The Collector's Edition will be available for pre-order in Europe soon.

In addition to including the highly anticipated game, this premium version of Fallout: New Vegas also includes the game-inspired items below:

♠ "Lucky 7" poker chips. Each of the seven poker chips was designed to represent chips from the major casinos found on the New Vegas strip and throughout the Mojave Wasteland.

♠ A fully customized Fallout: New Vegas deck of cards. Each card in the pack has been uniquely illustrated to depict characters and factions found within the game. Use the cards to play poker, blackjack or Caravan, an original card game that was created by Obsidian especially for New Vegas!

♠ A recreation of the game's highly coveted "Lucky 38" platinum chip.

♠ A hardcover graphic novel "All Roads", that tells the story of some of the characters and events that lead up to Fallout: New Vegas. "All Roads" was written by Chris Avellone, the game's creative director, and created in conjunction with Dark Horse Comics.

♠ 'The Making of Fallout: New Vegas' DVD. This documentary DVD will contain exclusive video content, including interviews with the developers in which they take you from concept to creation and discuss topics such as story, setting, legacy of the Fallout franchise and more.

I'll be getting the CE just for that deck of cards.

I'll be getting the CE because of the novel.

Wait, damn, I have no money. Scratch that. When I buy this, it will be the collectors edition.

Yeah, I'm still feeling like getting it too, although my CE purchases have been sort of hit-and-miss; Oblivion CE is OK(ish), NWN2 CE is awful, FO3 CE is less-than-adequate, DA: Origins CE (steelbook) is great, and finally the ME2 CE is OK, if a little short on goods for the euro price, although I got it at a hefty discount.

Perhaps the New Vegas CE will match the quality in its description and image? Or maybe it will turn out like a dry BigMac, after you've seen those Photoshopped ones they put in the ads.

I guess I'm still not quite sure whether I'm going to buy it or not.

I wouldn't worry about it, people found ways to uninstall it and still play the game last time, I don't expect it to be any different now. They'll probably get around by just editing the FO3 utilities at FO3 Nexus or similar.

I just spotted the first pre-order option for the New Vegas CE here in Finland, but the price is... 99.95?! That's over 120$! GameStop.com sells it for 69.99$, but unfortunately Finland has a localized GameStop, so the prices will probably the be the same as at CDON.COM.

I haven't seen any more pre-order options in Europe yet, so I guess there's some sort of a delay there... the CEs are widely available in the US after all.

Beth Blog has a new entry with a sneak peek of the graphic novel included with the Collector's Edition. It doesn't look half-bad...

I actually got around pre-ordering my PC Collector's Edition from GameStation.co.uk, which apparently netted me the Mercenary Pack. I saved around 40 euros by ordering it from the UK. :)

I've pre-ordered the PC Collectors Edition from GAME.co.uk and I should be getting the Classic Pack though it doesn't say if I will get it.

They'll send the codes to us by email before the release date. It's the same company as GameStation.co.uk, so the prices are identical as well. You can find the Pre-order pack details at Beth Blog.

Also, a guy created real world replicas of the A3-21 Plasma Rifle and AER9 Laser Rifle. Pretty neat.
