Why don't you copy a weidu to setup-cre_check.exe and see the log? :D

You sure that'd work?? :D Anyway, I have the current install doing on, so I'll try to do that tomorrow :) but wouldn't it give different results for an already BWP-ed install?? ... since like, the offset checker is installed before the BWP and all :P (and another install would need to wait for next week)

Click.
If it's that, give Ikki credit.

I too had the problem. Guess you've seen that post already:

http://www.shsforums...post__p__485487

It's not limited to BWP installs. I tried to install only Bg2Fixpack and ts25mini-mod yesterday with BWP-Fixpack and got an error...

If somebody cares:

Ok, so someone saved the file using a text editor :D (saving it using a word processor like MS Word probably preserves the NUL thing) ... and all this I say, not knowing whether that was indeed the problem :P Anyway, yeah, full credit to Ikki

Someone needs to get the 9.0.2 Fixpack's cre_check.tp2 back into the fixpack ...

@Fennek: I saw your post :) but was extremely busy when I did see it ... and I gradually forgot :P Sorry about that!

PS: The LR oggdec errors can't be fixed by changing any code though ;)

Great, so we can ignore it, I guess. One problem less. Or could these "warnings" cause trouble by any chance? It's just sound, isn't it? 8)

You folks have antivirus-type stuff off right? 'Cause I'm still not seeing the actual error. If it was bombing on the last listed file, it should say so.

They are problems with the .wav files. See if they play after being converted from OGGs (use NI with acm2wav or if they're not compressed, any media player will do). If so, probably not an issue.

My antivirus stuff was running and I was connected to the internet. However, this was the case during most installations, so I don't think that's the reason. Possible only in case something changed in the last days, but so many people got the problem... (In theory we could all be using the same antivirus software, but actually Lollorian found something and I'd first try it with the old tp2 before blaming the antivirus program)

Thank you. I'll try it on Sunday, I guess, after another installation.

I'll meddle with antivir stuff as a last resort, thank you :D (when all the other options have been looked into) ... but just for the record ... Avast's File and Behaviour shields were down during the install (and they're the ones behind the Aurora incident )

@Fennek: IKKI!!! Ikki found it :P

Btw, could someone please upload the 9.0.2 cre_check.tp2 here?? I don't have the Fixpack v9.0.2

Why don't you use the regular download and scroll down to Saved Versions to download them? :whistling:

@dabus: Just understood what you were trying to say :P <feels stupid>

@Fennek: I'm one of the 4 :ph34r:

On another note, Notepad++ seems to preserve the NUL too ... did someone save the .tp2 using the windows notepad?? :D

I tried a mini-installation (Bg2 Fixpack and ts25mini), threw the old file from v.9.02 into the new fixpack and everything went smooth. No guarantee for bigger installations, but I assume there won't be any problems with this...

You would think the BWP folks would be able to explain what they changed in the last fixpack that made it fail ...

Tried a big installation (one that made me really happy 8) :D 8) ), used the old file and it again went smooth.

@Miloch: No idea, but maybe a typo or whatever.

The newer .tp2 has a VERSION tag, but it broke when saving it cause whatever editor they used couldn't save NUL characters ... (that's the only difference Winmerge shows :P)

Incrementing a version just to add a VERSION tag is kinda pointless (the whole idea behind versioning is that you've actually changed something somewhat significant...).
