I've tried to install IA, but there was an error during the installation.

If you want to fix it yourself, open setup-infinityanimations.tp2 in a text editor and scroll down to around line 880 in the ACTION_FOR_EACH nb IN ~cbssyeti~ ... loop. Right after WRITE_SHORT 0x28 0x528b //Animation (yeti) add this line:

READ_BYTE 0x237 sx //Sex

Even if this has nothing to do with the original topic, I'll say this, as the topic should be solved by now...

When you try to make a Megamod on a foreign language, you still should try to use the commonly accepted best install order for compatibility(at the end of these .pdf files). The reason why I am saying this is because your install has a potential to cause all sorts of griefs to you. One of them is that the game may not even start because the songlist is off.
I'll point out two things:
1) The BP-BGT-map should be later... as should the (setup-)GUI mod.
2) And the more serious... the BGT music mod should be after all the NPC mods, at the very end, almost.

It might have something to do with other mods. I had problems with the yeti animation and I have never seen Yetis in the normal game, maybe I already had a Yeti animation which had to be corrected, and you didn't.

for point no. 1, I followed the instructions here and on the BGT readme; they just said I had to install the map and GUI after SOS, DSOTSC and NTOTSC (and any other mega- or quest- mod adding extra areas)

Thank you for your suggestions, anyway; I'll follow them if I have to re-install something

Yeti's only appeared in Region of Terror and Shadows Over Soubar. BP used to overwrite the yeti animations with driders BAMS and that was why nobody saw a yeti except for one attack frame. I didn't have a failure with my install either but maybe it was because of the yeti fix I did or our EXE are different.

It is probably only going to occur if you've got no other major megamods besides SOS (such as BP or RoT). It's trivial if you don't get the error and thus is not necessary to fix for most BWP installs (though of course I fixed it locally anyhow).

Is there a way to bypass this version check?

The version check is there to make sure that nothing is broken when the file is patched, as the files structure is clearly predefined... if you would like, I ould suggest that you upload the BGMain.exe in an archive file(.rar, .zip, .7z) to a message so someone(not me) can take a look at the bytes that would be changed, so he can say does the two files match... and then give the instructions on what to do next.
