It might be a creatures animation that crashes the game. Is there a particular area it happens?Any ideas? :S
To get more info out of the game, open the baldur.ini with Notepad and add in "Logging On=1" (without the quotes, unless it's already there) under the [Program Options] section in the file, then save the file and exit. It will produce Baldur.err when you reproduce the error, and it can be opened with the Notepad, post it here.
Good enough.Sorry for my crappy English.

Things to investigate include audio drivers, audio settings, video card drivers, video settings, DirectX version, and background running programs.

Might want to disable those memory-resident things while you're playing the game - no doubt they could cause freezes. Also while you're installing any future mods. Just don't be connected to the internet, don't open Word documents, and you won't get viruses (re-enable them when you're done playing if you want). Also i'm running on the background AVG antivirus, virtual clonedrive and ATI control manager only so i dont think it is causing any problems.

I think that hit the spot! i've been playing today 4 lke 3 hours with mozilla and some stuff going on and get no crashes! Thanks!Did u try to excude 3D animations? I remember i had some issues years ago with 3d activated, i got "frozen" machine 'cause of 3d enabled, i had to install some particular driver for my video card to have it working smoothly,
