That file is likely to be corrupted, by another mod or something.

What mods have you previously installed on both your BG:TotSC and BG2:ToB?

Wouldn't the --change-log'ging the arghai.cre -file be a little easier to find the info... than looking at the whole WeiDU.log? And the answer #6 in here answers how to use the --change-log feature with WeiDU.exe ...

No mods! Only the official patches. Hmmm... I'll try following those instructions, but I don't really understand them...

Erhm, the BGT is a mod... <_< :P

The patch numbers are important in this matter then, so they were v(1.3.)5512 for the BG1+TotSC and v(2.5.)26498 for the BG2:SoA+ToB, right?
And you do have a Full and Custom install of the games?

Might want to attach your arghai.cre file itself, then maybe someone can try to reproduce the error with it and see what's going on.

Um, is this the right ARGHAI.CRE? I tested the patch that BGT does on your attached file and no problems were reported. The correct ARGHAI.CRE should come from either a BG:TotSC BIF file or the BG:TotSC override directory.

Could you also zip up and attach your SETUP-BGTDOS.DEBUG file found in the installation directory?

Ooh... for some reason, I don't have a TotSC directory... my badlur's gate directory is all in one.
Also, that arghai.cre file came from my BGII override directory. WEIRD!

Erhm, the Badlur's Gate and Badlur's Gate:Tales of the Sword Coast are in one directory like always... and the BGII - SoA and BGII: ToB are on another, as they should be (plus the patches), like I said already...

Nothing unusual from the DEBUG.
Hmm, might be a good idea to try re-installing BG2:ToB, since it looks like that it is a bit unclean.

If this is true, you should export arghai.cre from your BG1 game and attach it here (export it with Near Infinity or DLTCEP, since it's probably biffed). I don't see any obvious problems with the unmodded BG1 CRE, except that it has rndtre03.itm assigned to it about 6 times, rather stupidly (3 times as quick items and 3 times as inventory items). A 5th-level half-ogre wouldn't have more than one such treasure.
