Bottom level of Watcher's Keep...
Upon first entering, Demogorgon is loose and attacks, instead of 'making a deal'...
No way out, have to kill him (NOT easy!!!)
Now, I have no way to seal the portal or anything -- when I talk to Odren and everyone atop the Keep, they act like nothing has changed.

It was suggested to me that this was due to the "Improved Demogorgon" mod, which I can only assume is part of the BWP (still finishing my game of BWP v8.2)

So, if it's part of that mod, how do I complete Watcher's Keep???

I dunno... CLUAConsole maybe (ctrl+Y and MoveToArea).

You mean the 'Tougher Demogorgon' component of Ascension? SCS2 also does something with him (its readme says it 'modifies Demogorgon, and in doing so overwrites his script'). Should do a 'weidu --change-log demogor2.cre' and demogor2.bcs to make sure. But if it's the initial 'Imprisoned One' then look at demogor1.cre and demogor1.bcs. See the pinned FAQ in this forum if you're unsure how to do that.

This will probably be no help, but...

I did a search of my HDD.
There is only 1 demogor1.bcs file.
It is located in C:\Program Files\Black Isle\BGII - SOA\generalized_biffing\prod\0\biffs\48

I opened it with WordPad:

All the files I mentioned should be in your override folder, or in biffs if your game is biffed (as apparently it is). So you'll need to extract them with an editor like NearInfinity or DLTCEP. Also, you can decompile the scripts when you do that, so people can actually read them (the format above is compiled).

I downloaded the DLTCEP, but am completely lost regarding what to do once I unzip it. I have no modder skills at all...

Sorry for wasting your time -- I guess I'll just continue playing the game without being able to finish Watcher's Keep. :~\

Just launch it, click Setup, tell it where your game is and what type (ToB) then Edit > Script for example, Load Script, Save Script As. If you can't figure it out, try Near Infinity instead, since you should be able to just drop that in your game folder and launch it then drill down for the game files.

Well, if I did it right (doubtful), then the file (demogor1.bcs file located in C:\Program Files\Black Isle\BGII - SOA\generalized_biffing\prod\0\biffs\48) looks hosed. I run Check, and it comes up with problems on nearly every line.

I'd concentrate on the cre rather than on the script. The compiled script above looks fine and is not causing your problems.

Well, I did say the original poster should run --change-logs on the files and attach them. I'm not sure why DLTCEP is producing that garbage - it should display fine in Edit mode, and you can also export (Save As) files from there.
