Tortured Souls vs. Romantic Encounters

Yesterday I installed BG2 + ToB + TS + TDD + SoS + CtB + many other mods using BiG World Setup (downloaded form here). After reading this file I was hoping that both versions of Valygar romance (form TS and from RE) would work at the same time. Yet when Valygar joined my party and got Merella's journal he started the talks from Kulyok's (RE) romance. He discusses his emotional life with Kachiko, he listens to Anomen's confessions - but he still didn't offer to carry my backpack (which would be a sign that TS version of the romance is working as well). Is it possible that RE overwrites TS content and the TS romance won't work at all? Or maybe it's some kind of trigger conflict (I know nothing about that but my friend suggested it)?

Hey, I'm having the same problem and don't really want to do a full re-install - I was wondering if anyone knows the variables for the Tortured Souls Valygar Romance? I'm hoping to jumpstart it, and stop the Romantic Encounters one, whose variables were easy to find (RE-Valgyar, etc)... I'd really appreciate the help, as I was really looking forward to this mod, and didn't realise that RE also had their own Valygar mod too!

From the TS-BP readme:
12. Valygar Romantique is available only for a female PC, though he has some additional banters with other NPCs unrelated to the romance. He has to be picked up before moving to Temple Ruins in order to initiate the romance.
This indicates that the romance starts after moving to the Temple Ruins.

Thanks muchly!! - don't know how I missed that. I picked him up after the Umar quest and because he was reacting to Merella's journal, I thought it was working fine for a while. Now I'm going to reload before Umar hills.... oh the commitment I have to baldur's gate...!
