So let me get this straight (please forgive my noobie-ness, i'm @ work right now and mentally preparing to install this baby)

the installer says "cannot download"or something, and pauses
I manually download the file and extract it to the BGII-SoA folder as mentioned
the installer will then find it when I press continue?

or

the installer says "cannot download"or something, and pauses
I continue the rest
i download and install the mod afterwards without problems?

How about...

the installer says "cannot download"or something, and pauses
press continue until everything extracts
when a console pops up to let you choose a language, you just close it
you manually extract BDash168 :)
run the BiG World install.bat ... and choose your options
PROFIT!!! :woot:

"I am the smiley addict, yellow and round, this is my grin :D when I'm usually around :P.
When there's trouble brewing, see me post, cuz it's usually a wall o' yellow and your eyes are toast!!!"

Why would you do that?

the installer says "cannot download"or something, and pauses
You choose to open the URL that comes with the BWS with your default browser
press continue until everything extracts
when a console pops up to let you choose a language, you just close it
you manually extract BDash168 :)
run the BiG World install.bat ... and choose your options

PROFIT!!! :woot:

I looked over the CoM forums and it seems Leonardo Watson already reported the Undying's typo :) (was the mod updated at the download centre though??)

Yes, the mod was uploaded again with the same version number after the report. ;)

2) Does this include the patch for the bad itm that made the Temple Ruins slow to a crawl? or should I look that thread up and drop the updated cre file in overrides?

You don't need it, because the fix is included in the current EMaD version:
http://forums.gibber...showtopic=17583

[EDIT]

It looks like I'm not up-to-date. :whistling:
The problem from the past should be fixed with the current EMaD version, but I've got informations, that something is wrong with EMaD in combination with Refinements. Please don't report this bug further in this thread, please use the other thread or create a new one. This thread is not for in-game bug reports. Thanks.

Cool to know :coolthumb: (downloadin, downloadin :))

Btw, ToBR seems to be rather incompatible with many of the ToB overhauls (LR, Turnabout, Wheels etc) :( and it's in the standard install :o

Well, actually the 'BiG World Setup.vbs'(the setup program) asks if you wish to skip the mods it can't download or open the download link manually, to which you can answer, yes and no... it then proceeds with your choice until it has downloaded all.
Then later it checks the files and begins extracting the archives it has just downloaded, it then asks if you wish to remove the file references from the 'BiG World Install.bat' that the program cannot find, and you enter y or n for yes and no answer. Then when it has extracted all the files the 'BiG World Setup.vbs' will end it's programming and start the 'BiG World Install.bat' which opens in the classic 'cmd.exe' black window.
It will ask you language, install mode and so on... it will then check the mods you are about to install, if it can find few needed files, and if those checks are ok, you can proceed to the actual installing... Which will most likely take hours...
Now, at any time before you actually start the installing, you can exit the 'cmd.exe' window and if you wish to extract more files to the install folder you can, and then you can edit the 'BiG World Install.bat' much to your liking.

Yes, you can do all the stuff yourself if you like to.

But getting a clue where to start - eventually start the download itself if the wget-program cannot handle it - and getting the stuff extracted seems easier to me than doing that manually. At least/most likely you have less work.

Which patches do I install for the 4-in-1 dvd box set? Is there a place I can check everything is patched properly before installing BWP?

I made an installation of BPW version 8.3 Expert mode(because I wanted modes Exnem Vault and Dark Horizon ) but I found in Big World Debug.txt 3 mods with errors and several warnings. I chose the AI option SCSI not BP maybe that was the problem and had to choose both.

I don't know why you have all these warnings/errors. That is a bit too much. Did you have a clean install of your games before you start the BWS? Did you change something in the Install.bat? The best would be to try it again with a clean-install of the games and avoid changing something in the Install.bat.

All right, the reports proved it and additional ToBR is still in beta and the mod-author is not working on it at the moment, so I think we must put it into the Expert-version. Bad, but we must do it. I hope the mod-author returns to this nice project.

Have a look here :) I have the 4-in-1 set myself, but manually installed the BGI 5512 patch and the BGII 24698 patch :P (there is a 24699 patch but it's beta - DO NOT USE!!!)

No kidding - the 24699 patch is not compatible with mods and will cause your game not to work if you install BWP. I discovered that the hard way.

Some stuff about the BWP Guide :)

1) The descrip for CtB says it has "11 kits", I can't seem to find these in the game though :P

2) The install.bat doesn't install the kits in RevisedBattles even though the Guide says it installs them

3) The Worgas mod checks for AshesofEmbers AND sorcerer's place collections instead of just AoE (no incompatibility is listed between SPCollections and Worgas in the guide though )

I just love the BWP mega mod. It's fantastic. The Priest of Mystra class i tried for a little bit and found the kit can not cast evocation spells like the kit describes. I always wanted to play a Ranger with some mage spell casting abilities and thought the Human Dual class Priest of Mystra/Ranger would be right up my alley but found that I could not cast any Evocation spells.

That's fine though, it's still a great mod - currently playing a Ranger/Cleric Half elf.

The setup cannot download/install the Kivan kivan-v8.1.exe mod. When I download it manually from different placec, my virusscanner says there is a trojan in it. on gibberling forums they say it is a false positive, but I wanna be carefull, can anyone comfirm ?

I can confirm that it's a false positive :) (kivanv8.1 and TashiaRemixv1.1 both get reported as false positives)

If you could, send the file for analysis by the antivir makers. They'll clear it up within the next few days ;)

Yes, we can... most(if not all) of the WeiDU.exe using mods can create false positives for the most virus scanners because the way it's compiled; See the program is made to update all the other WeiDU.exes that are renamed as the setup-*modname*.exe's, and this can create situations when compiled into a .exe that makes it look like a virus program, which it's not.
