from an area that isn't crashing for you, try creating this creature with the console: basilmut.cre
the command to do that is CLUAConsole:CreateCreature("basilmut.cre")

if it causes you to crash, it's probably related to Infinity Animations. If it doesn't, the next step would be to console in all the other creatures in that area one by one, to see if any of them cause you to crash.

You were right, the CTD appears when I summon that *.cre :(

1. Do you have the "More Neverwinter Nights Animations" component of Infinity Animations installed properly (properly as in you downloaded and extracted the content files correctly before installing)?
2. Does it happen with other greater basilisks (basilg, basilgsu, etc.)?

I very rarely read this bloated thread, so if it *is* possibly related to Infinity Animations, let's carry on this discussion in the IA forum, or at least a separate post in the megamod forum.

Yes , but I'll continue to IA forum with insights as suggested by Miloch...

I'm trying my first BW setup
It keeps throwing up an error saying that it can't find Weidu v213.
In my downloads folder there is a weidu213.zip file, but it is 0kb.
Having checked weidu's webpage, it seems that this has been replaced with Weidu 214.
I have downloaded this, but BWP still asks for 213.
I tried renaming 214 as 213, but this doesn't help.
Everything is downloaded, but nothing will install.
HELP!!

Edit the [Weidu.exe]-section BiG World Setup\Config\Mod.ini.
Set the value of the Down-key to the new URL.

Thanks
I'm now able to start the install
However, I'm not the brightest button in the box, so I may be back :P

After severell other challanges, which I surprisingly managed to solve, I started downloading the mods. Lets see when the next problem arises :)

Uh, I usually do not do the announcement, but I just wanted to note that BWP 9.0 is out and you will download those files with the current BWS 8.3. So it's no secret anyway.

Leomar (any maybe some testers) will need some time to do the updates to the BWS though.
So please give us some time.

If you are impatient, you will need to download and extract these new mods manually:
Sir Renal v2.2
Trovador REO v2.4a
Genwas Händlermod v1
Solestia v1.2
Lol's RezMod v2.3
Drizzt Is Not Stupid (BGT) v1
Alternatives v4
B!Tweaks v4
Paladins of Faerun Kitpack v4
Prestige Kit Pack v2
Return to Trademeet Kitpack v1.1
Vecna v12
Throne of Bhaal Extender (TobEx) Beta 0001

Please note that you will not get stuck when Leomar does the updates like during the previous BWS updates.
So you can still use the last BWS version during the next few days until BWS 9 is out.

Hello!

Tried the BWS for the 1st time and on the standard mode, setup was "successful" no errors or anything...
But when i start the game it runs in the regular BG2-TOB world w/o any single "mod"!
Any clues as to what i am doing wrong? should i start the game from a different .exe file?

Ty in advance!

Well, if mods are installed, you find those in your weidu.log.
If there are no mods in your weidu.log, check your BiG World Debug.txt for errors.
It may even be the case that weidu's autoupdates got locked up and nothing happened at all.

Hi again

The only error i could find in BW debug.txt was that:

"Stopping installation because of error.
ERROR: [.../list-of-files] -> [generalized_biffing/prod/0/list-of-files] Patching Failed (COPY) (Unix.Unix_error(1, "rename", "override/CBP1ACT4.CRE"))

But in the end i got this message:

"At last all not installed mods are listed for control.
Only the mods itself are listed, not the components."

only 2 mods failed the instalation...both non-factor mods!!!

Anyway i'll try re-installing the whole deal... The thought of playing the best game ever created(after PST ofc:P) in a Mega mode world it's just mind blowing and worths every second of frustration coming from the installation :D

Cheers

Why would you reinstall if almost everything is fine?
You can biff on your own if you want to...

Generalized biffing will fail even if you reinstall :( Wait for it to be updated :)

Huh? But weidu --biff should still work as well as end_biff.
Not that nice as gen_biff but (form my point of view) better than reinstalling.

This one :) It fubars when used in its current state if you have a mod using WeiDU 21400 in your install (for now, just Fadin Promises :P) The current WeiDU is 21500, but it's not yet integrated into any mod :( (but I think p5tweaks got updated, so maybe it has it :)) But still, wait for gen_biff to be updated itself :P

Didn't even think of that :P Probably got too used to gen_biff :) (looking at that command in the documentation says you have to specify the stuff that needs to be biffed. I dunno how gen_biff separates the stuff, but I'd reckon it's more pain than gain when used with the BWP :crying: - seprating ~5 GB of override clutter into .bif's manually :o)

What I did was put the new weidu 215 into the BG2 folder and ran BWS and BWP install.bat and everything worked except oversight, don't know why. Also, it was the new BWP 9.0.

The problem with the wild mage is solved. It is BG2 tweaks #2140 // Expanded Dual-Class Options: v8 that caused the messed up kit. Removed that component and wildmage kit was working again.

Also used the changed BP tp2 from Lollorians other post, and it installed fine.

I just started the Dark Side of the Sword Coast and having some problems finding the entrance. I am currently in Pelvdale heading East. I could not find any new areas so I looked at the Walk through for DSotSC and it gave some coordinates. I tried finding the x,y coord. by pressing "L" first and when that didn't work, I pressed CTRL-L which only made some nifty looking graphics appear on my screen but no coordinates. Where exactly is this entrance to the next maps next to Pelvdale?
