1) Do I have to start a new game in order to use the mod?
2) What if Neveziah is already dead before Ed joins the party?
3) I've been reading the (absolutely wonderful) romance dialogues over at the Attic, and I noticed that when Eddie can change alignment, the only way to keep him evil is by making the PC say a particularly evil thing (won't spoil for those who haven't read the dialogues). While it wouldn't be completely OOC for my CG Swashbuckler to do a "loot! plunder!" routine, I'd love to have the option to tell Eddie I like him just the way he is, thus preventing the alignment change. Good girls can love bad boys too, y'know!
4) Compatibilty with Ascension/Ease-of-use/other WeiDU mods?
5) Any interaction between the PC and Gracie? Or would that be asking for spoilers?

Here are some answers. Some random questions...

1) Yes, you'll need to start a new game, and take Edwin into your party before killing Mae'Var.
2) Nevaziah won't spawn unless Edwin is in the party, and has asked you to come find the Nether Scroll for him.
3) Hmm...I didn't think that dialogue choice was *that* evil. Still, I might put in an extra one. We'll see. Glad you like the dialogues! I've revised them quite a lot since the ones I posted in the Attic, so there will be plenty more dialogue options now.
4) Yes, compatible with both Ascension, Tactics and EoU, and should be compatible with other WeiDu mods as well.
5) Haven't written one yet. But I'm thinking of possibly adding in a few extra little tidbits of Edwin comments, so it might happen.

The character who wants to romance Edwin is a thief; if (when) she gets the guildhall after killing Renal, does Eddie make any comment? It always kind of bugged me that none of the NPCs had anything to say about the PC achieving any of the strongholds (at least, not that I've experienced).
EDIT: Mae'Var, not Renal. Oops!

Edwin's first romance dialogue with you starts directly after you've killed Mae'Var, and he comments on that, but he doesn't say anything about achieving any of the strongholds. Still, it's an interesting idea - maybe something to add in at a later point. Not entirely sure if I'm being coherent (it's pretty late at night) so I hope you get the general idea:

Heh. Well, Kelsey criticizes the decision (some have labeled it "blackmail") to take the thief stronghold, something which has not endeared him to several players. The character who wants to romance Edwin is a thief; if (when) she gets the guildhall after killing Renal, does Eddie make any comment? I recently did the cleric (Helmite) stronghold and Anomen "welcomed" my PC to the fold and Keldorn said something rather nice as well. I was really quite startled. After I posted, it occurred to me that it might be more appropriate for Eddie to say something upon achievement of the Mage stronghold, wouldn't it? After all, that would seem to be the only one he'd really care about.
Still. Comments nice.

Yes, if he is to comment about any stronghold, I think this should be the one. I imagine he'd be pleased about you acquiring the Sphere, but not so about you having to work for the Cowled Wizards. After I posted, it occurred to me that it might be more appropriate for Eddie to say something upon achievement of the Mage stronghold, wouldn't it? After all, that would seem to be the only one he'd really care about.

You know, just like Imoen always does.
There are also some "omg funy" easter eggs about the Matrix in there if you have a rather obscure (but still possible) combination of PC stats and party composition.

Right. I heard rumors of that mod...
Freedom cannot be equated with goodness, virtue, or perfection. Freedom has its own unique self-contained nature; freedom is freedom ? not universal goodness. Any confusion or deliberate equalization of freedom with goodness and excellence is in itself negation of freedom, and acceptance of the path of restraint and enforcement.

Cool! I've never done the cleric stronghold quest, mainly because I hate the sewers.I recently did the cleric (Helmite) stronghold and Anomen "welcomed" my PC to the fold and Keldorn said something rather nice as well. I do have one druid character who actually got to be the leader of the druid grove outside Trademeet, but Jaheira didn't say anything about that, which I though was kind of a bummer.

*grin* Well, I haven't scripted that into the game, but yes, I think she *would* be approved of by Elvira. The only mage character I've ever successfully (meaning she doesn't die every six seconds) played is a Necromancer...Do you think she' d get brownie points with Elvira?

1. Do we have to do the nether scroll quest in order for the romance with Edwin to work, or can we skip it? :edwin:
2. Do we get to meet any characters from eddie's past besides Dekkie? (No offense Dekkie... )
:turnip: < Turnip smiley. Spiffing.

1. Yes, you need to do the Nether Scroll quest. You cannot do it until the romance has progressed far enough though. Edwin will tell you when it's the proper time.I have a few questions about the Edwin mod, and thought this was the appropriately named thread to ask them in;

Has there been any discussion of adding Edwin flirts to the FlirtPacks, later when this mod is released or can we expect the flirts written straight into this mod?
