I've received a report of installation troubles with win7. Anyone installed successfully under it, and did you have to do anything out of the ordinary to make it happen? Here's the report I got:

I had no problem with the widescreen patch, or the ui patch. But same error for all three of these. I tried installing as admin, in the program files/torment directory, as well as a new directory off c:\. I made sure permissions were set, even tried granting all users full control at one point. Thanks for all your efforts.

I don't have Win7, so unfortunately I can't test anything related to this.

At least for UB and Tweak Pack, the debug error indicates it's having trouble copying the torment.exe file.

I test all 3 Mod(v4.0)+widescreen(v2.2)+UI(v2.1) mod under win7,don't found any errors.but I need to mount cd1 to start patch, perhap the guy who reported error haven't mount it?
After install all mod I still need turning sprite mirroring on to avoid the error that all the people in the game can't face to right and can only step back to right side under win7.

BTW,Is it any possible to add CHT version support to All 4 MOD?There are so many modify to the torment.exe, and difficult to convert english patch to CHT version.

I think the sprite mirroring thing is a pretty universal problem. I know I have to do it too, and I'm on an XP. Or maybe it's just an NVidia issue.

I'll forward the setup failure thread to the user, thanks!

Hmm, wait, I don't think it's the same issue. For one, he doesn't have trouble with Ghostdog's mod, just mine. Also, this is the error which looks slightly different:

Copying and patching 1 file ...
ERROR: error loading [Torment.exe]
Stopping installation because of error.
Stopping installation because of error.

...

ERROR: Unix.Unix_error(20, "stat", "Torment.exe")

I just test D3DWindower to run Torment in Windows Mode under Win7,I don't need to turning sprite mirroring on now,it fixed the error I have.

I thought the user may have edited the torment.ini, and modified "CD1:=V:\CD1\" to "CD1:=C:\Program Files\Black Isle\Torment\CD1\",or something else,I just reinstall the all 3 mod of you under win7,it just fine.It is "CD1:=V:\CD1\"(V is my virtual DVD) in my torment.ini, when I install Fixpack Mod I need use daemon tools to mount the cd1 iso.
The user need to check the torment.ini to found if it point to wrong place?

wait,I thought it is possible that the user run your new mod on torment.exe have patched(use old mod) and have that problem?I just test on clean install(version 1.1),maybe the user need a clean install.

I'm on win7 x64 and everything runs fine but I install all my games onto a separate partition than OS. So not program files. Tomorrow, for testing purposes I can see about trying installing it just to program files and see if I run into any issue. For all the mods I get prompt to run them as admin, has user done this?

Those interested in the classic TBS game Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri / Alien Crossover should check out the unofficial patch I work on here.

I seems that win7 has sometimes random hate for weidu mods.
