After I try to leave the first area after Irenicus' Dungeon I get an error saying "An Assertion failed in Chdimm.cpp at line number 1246. Programmer says: Chdimm.cpp Cdimm::(): Cres pointer Invalid (Check log for missing blah).

My Log for mods and the baldur log are attached

Thanks in advance!

Check your [Alias]-es in baldur.ini . The reason.

Also what Operating System are you using? And where is your game in your computer drive?

I'm using Windows 7 Professional. The installation is on a separate partition I use for Games.

Checked the aliases, and I'm not sure how, but my folder for "CD 1" Seems to be missing, unless that is itself an error in the .ini file. Here are the aliases

[Alias]
HD0:=D:\All My Games\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\
CD1:=D:\All My Games\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\CD1\
CD2:=D:\All My Games\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\CD2\
CD3:=D:\All My Games\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\CD3\
CD4:=D:\All My Games\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\CD4\
CD5:=D:\All My Games\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\CD5\

As there is not Data folder in the game CD1, it doesn't matter where the first CD is pointed... but those too seem to be OK. Hmm...

The exact same thing is happening to me with the same error but it happens when I try to open the world map. I found something wrong in the alias section and fixed it but it didn't fix my problem.

I got it working correctly by reinstalling the Worldmap mod.

I'll try the same, I noticed the crashing only happened when I tried to goto the worldmap. Of course I'm in the middle of reinstalling so I'm on like. Hour 6 -_-

Could you post which mod and where it's installed? Hopefully you'll get this as a guest. =\

Are you using BWP to install your mods? That is what I did so maybe it is installing Worldmap in the wrong order. I forgot where I read it but I read that Worldmap is supposed to be installed close to the end and maybe it isn't with BWP.

Umm, I'm pretty sure I'm wrong, :lol: but I've tried a lotta BWPExpert installs (using ALL the mods in the BWP) and I never got this error with the Worldmap installed where it is ^_^

Maybe something didn't install properly for Topagae. Could your please upload your compressed BiG World Debug.txt (zipped/rarred/7zipped)??

Well, I don't know the exact thing the Original poster did, but he does have the BWP's Fixpack, and the order is close to the BWS order, of course there is no Worldmap mod as you pointed out, but it should be:

...
~1PP_AVATARS/SETUP-1PP_AVATARS.TP2~ #0 #16 // 1PP: Avatar fixes * male human w. chain mail [HMB3]
HERE
~LEVEL1NPCS/LEVEL1NPCS.TP2~ #0 #0 // Nythrun's Level 1 NPCs: List party-joinable NPCs (required to install any other components): v1.2eib9
~LEVEL1NPCS/LEVEL1NPCS.TP2~ #0 #3 // Joinable NPCs more closely match the player character's experience?: v1.2eib9
...

Possibly a dead thread but this is still happening. I tried uninstalling the world map mod and now when I click on world map I get a CTD with the same error message. I don't think the uninstall works correctly with the BWI.

You need to restart the game ... not load an old save game ... and PS, youprobably just screwed more than if you hadn't uninstalled the Worldmap mod... cause now your former map is totally bogus... and yes, the thread is 3 years old... and you should make a new topic and all.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.
