The link is here. I have mixed feelings, but $5 is cheaper than Watcher's Keep at $7.

Back from the brink.

Like RPGs? Like Star Wars? Think combining the two would be fun? Read Darths and Droids, and discover the line "Jar Jar, you're a genius".

These, in the day when heaven was falling,
The hour when earth's foundations fled,
Followed their mercenary calling
And took their wages and are dead.

I think I read somewhere that a regular player will take about only an hour to complete it. Hmm ...

So, this is your chance to succeed where a whole freaking army failed? Meh. Sounds very silly unless it takes place after the main storyline... Which would be silly, who's ever going to bother. xP

I have mixed feelings about this one. While I welcome the addition of new content (I guess), I'm kinda suspicious of anything happening at Ostagar. I mean, the place just got razed by an army of Darkspawn, they're fast advancing towards the North, coming out of the Kocari Wilds, and yet here you waltz right back in?... Not too credible, in my opinion. *sigh* (Then again, neither was returning to Flemmeth's hut, but that's another story altogether)

Well, a group of four people, lead by at least one individual that can sense Darkspawn at range would be ably to skip and slide around a bulked army.

Also, Flemeth's hut is hidden by her magic, as she says.

Anyway, I do think it's something that is a valid, good DLC topic. I mean, if it were a mod, I'd download it. Put some professional developers behind it, why not sell it for the price of a few pieces of chicken, or a quarter of a pizza?

That's ridicoulous. Game was released two weeks ago with day 1 DLC and now this? Shit.

I'm playing "Defend BioWare" today!

I'd suggest you read what the designers had to say over at Kotaku: http://kotaku.com/53...tched-explained

The same explanation of patches also applies to DLC. While the game was released recently, DLC was always a design plan (as it is for a lot of games), and the game itself has been "locked" for a good while.

Honestly, I view that as more than acceptable. What I do not view as acceptable is, say... a game requiring you to pay a few bucks to open a god-damn door. Yes, Bethesda. I'm looking at you.

I'm really happy to see DLC soon after; it means there's a larger chance of them living up to the promise of 2-years worth of DLC. I'm really looking forward to seeing what they come up with.

Could be interesting. I mean, both current DLC expansions are interesting and relevant to the storyline, after all. (Not to mention Shale, Avernus's story, The Staff of Winter's Breath and other niceties).

You know what bums me out? That you can't redeem achievement points for DLC. Talk about a bummer. OK, I've only got about enough to download the latest, but still....

Yes, Bethesda. I'm looking at you.

I was fond of Oblivion's DLC but Fallout's was terrible!

Sure it's an evil money making scheme...but has anyone noticed that games with DLC don't have expansions that they sell for 30-40 USD? I haven't played an expansion I've been extremely impressed with so I'm okay with paying 5-20 bucks for some extra quests instead of 40.

None of you remember when this stuff was free? Hell, it sometimes still is (see The Witcher). What's extremely odd is, back when it was free, gaming was doing much worse than now. I having trouble figuring out why anyone should want to pay for that stuff :/

I'm not the one paying for DLC, yet I would pay for Dragon Age DLC because unlike with other games...the DLC has been pretty good. Because I pre-ordered the game I have all the DLC except RTO of coarse...all of it is so interesting...and addictive....I feel the need to play it now even!

They, um, say "holiday season". We don't have a holiday season here, per se, so I looked in Wikipedia and it pretty much means "Late November - Early January". Is that correct? I mean, we only have to wait one week, two on the outside?

Yeah, it does seem a little strange it hasn't been released yet... unless they're planning on doing a "Merry Christmas!" thing on Christmas day or something?

No sight of it yet... I suppose they could make it a new year's eve thing? I don't know... they use the words "holiday season" pretty loosely if it's released next year.

I wouldn't count on seeing it until after New Year's. Everybody has the day off, and then there's a weekend, so unless they're doing something between tomorrow and Wednesday, it will probably be Monday or Tuesday a week.

No, not really. I'd call my feelings regarding this DLC as "cautious optimism"... Mixed feelings of "yay, new DLC!", and "oh, Maker, what are they going to do next??".
