Wouldn't it be possible to make the party banter BG-style, game-pausing dialogue? Would it? I'd use that mod, certainly.

Second. It's one of the things that has me kinda frustrated with DA:O (along with ugly helms and mage hats, among other things): it's that I'll have a banter pop up just to be cut off by an area transition or an ambush.

I hope they add some new styles for robes and mage's hats...because the ones they have right now are quite hideous for the most part...!

A few mod hosting sites are springing up as alternatives to the BioWare social site. One that I am particularly pleased to see is a new nexus site, http://tinyurl.com/DAnexus.

Well, mostly I think dressing up avatars have nothing to do with RPG and more to do with dolly-games, but those mage-hats are some of the worst equipment I have ever seen in a game. I mean, damn.

I second making a mod that makes the banter go BG-style.

Surprised it's not a nude patch.

Meh. It's not even a mesh edit yet and it's only partial female nudity. It's a start but I'll wait until a decent, both genders, nude mod is developed. Also a mod that improves female body shapes, at the moment they look too much like just an altered male human skeleton.(same with the dwarves).

Just what is game developers' problem with curvy women anyhow...

I need fully nude models for my mod. :) About curviness, I agree, the girls have no hips. I'd like to see a proper hourglass shape.

Enjoy the novelty of not having chainmail bikinis. It's kind of a bummer that the armor is all kind of genderless, but there you go.

It's funny. Over on the DA forums, they're complaining that the females have *too big* hips and backsides and a lack of topography elsewhere. And that their hands are too big.

I'm not fussed. The models look the way they look. It's only a matter of time before somebody comes out with a bosom mod/nude textures, but I probably won't bother with either.

I'd have liked the opportunity to adjust the height/weight of my characters, but I understand the reason why there is no variety. Apparently, it was too tough to map out the sex scenes.

Seriously? Some people... Their hands are indeed too big, but come on, backsides can't be big enough! The waist-hip ratio is just totally wrong for a woman, the waist should be considerably smaller than the hips for a proper, beautiful hourglass shape, yet there is only very little difference between the waist and the hips. My female elf looks like a little boy.

The Dalish is gender specific IIRC. The female one is not practical at all though.

Yeah, the Dalish armor is asking for a belly wound. Some of the other armor has separate models for different genders, though, like the Armor of Diligence. I should ammend my statement. The lighter weight armors have different models for male and female, but the heavier armors, not so much.

The dalish armor looks terrible anyway, on a female character that is. It's just a skin texture wrapped on a standard leather armor model... xP

Kinda sad the discussion of mods for this game revolves around how to make the womenfolk more naked, curvy etc. While I've got no problem with that :woot:, still... it seems to reflect a lack of ingenuity in and of itself. What about plot? What about characters, story, tactics, strategy, mystery... and well, other stuff. Or is it a lost cause for this game, and should it focus mainly on "skin" which is what the Oblivion community seemed to do?

Problem is, at the moment we don't have too much to work with. The Toolset is mindbendingly tricky to get your head around, is currently rather broken, and we don't have the source files for the majority of the existing content. Folks are managing to bring out some semi-decent mods considering how short a time the game has been out, but content mods (beyond the usual overpowered itempack nonsense which plagues every modable game)are going to be very scarce on the ground for a while.

Source files are coming soon, thank heavens. Looking forward to getting my grubby hands on it, that's for sure.

I'd love to discuss plot--but for now, this is the mods thread!

I've started planning my first NPC, having a lot of fun mucking around with ideas so far. :)

Uhm, didn't I say I need that for my mod? It's going to have all of the above, and more. :)
