Ok, I just realized something...one thing that arian never ever covered is the origin of tashia's powers...i mean we all know how or why the pc is a sorceror or sorceress, because of the divine heritage of bhaal...
but the manual discription of how sorcerors are born says that a sorceror is usually the descendent or offspring of a powerful supernatural being, like a god, or a planetar, or a shapeshifted golden dragon mating with a mortal...this gives them the ability to manipulate the "weave" simply by force of will, to shape the energies of magic simply by thinking about it..
now, from what we all know about tashia's past, we know that before she lost her parents to that maurauding band of orcs or goblins or whatever, she had very normal, very loving and well....normal parents...
so how did she get her sorceress heritage? wouldn't it be very very interesting to find out during the course of the romance how tashia got her powers? possibly meeting her ancestor, since the ancestor she gained her powers from is divine in nature, he or she is most likely to be still alive...or possibly finding out that the couple she thought were her parents her entire life, turned out to be adoptive parents, who took her in because her mortal father or mother died...and she gets to meet her real, supernatural father or mother...
what do you think???
How did tashia become a sorceress???

While it would be very interesting to explore a little more tashia's past .. i don't agree totally on this
First, it's not necessary that the supernatural ancestor was THAT powerful, could be some minor dragon too, or maybe some celestial.
Second.. and most important.. you rightly said "descendent". If one of her parents was such a being, she would be a half creature, like, dunno, half dragon or such. Actually, for a person to be a sorceror, it is enough that an ancestor even tens of generations before was such a creature ....
Uh, anyway, while it would be interesting, i woudn't like this topic to take up too much time. There's already plenty of characters who " descends from gods " in the game )

Hmm...I guess I just see someone being a sorcerer/sorcereress as being one of those things they were born with.
If people wish it, I could try and craft a dialogue for this, but that is if the desire is there. Heck, I had a hard enough time figuring out a valid reason (semi-valid anyways, I mean it is just a game) as to why Tashia was taking on a form of a Lich during those few questions...
Heh, and for all we know, maybe some ancestors just have a heightened sensitivity to magic anyways, and that's what affects their children to being born spell-casters.
And the others are right, it doesn't have to be a god that gives the magic abilities. The children of silver and gold (and brass, I think...maybe its copper) in Council of Wyrms (a Forgotten Realms supplement, but allowing one to play as a dragon) also tend to have a marked proclivity to magic-use...
