Cancel = Exit application
So you might just go on with r and unpack this mod yourself if you really want it.
Edit: You can always resume the install-process, so no worry about exiting the BWS.

Remove = Remove mod from further processing. Doesn't remove any files physically.
Cancel = Exit application
So you might just go on with r and unpack this mod yourself if you really want it.
Edit: You can always resume the install-process, so no worry about exiting the BWS.
So when the process finishes i [r], then it proceeds with the language question, it starts the .bat recheck, i exit the cmd window, put the removed mode unzipped in the game folder, not the BWP downloads folder, and start the BWP.bat again. This way it will install the removed one?

And after pressing r, the mods still have to be unpacked and some other things will be done before the batch will be started.

This is where i am now:
Warning
Starting the "silent" extraction of the NSIS-packages.
There will be message-boxes that ask you if you want to install several mods. They should disappear directly.
If that's not happening, please press Enter or click "Yes" to continue.
There are also some black console-windows (DOS-windows) that should be closed automatically.
If you encounter DOS-windows that aren't closed, please do it manually. Don't care about the shown ERROR-messages in the DOS-windows, because the BWS stops the NSIS-installation at this point.
Since your security software may interfere, you may want to disable it after you are disconnect from the internet.
So i will close internet for a while. I hope i will not run into any more trouble!

Yes, it will take a few hours... no more than 5 with a modern computer, but a few.Is it normal to take a long time for biffing? cmd is in the process of biffing and i see:

I have not started playing, but i noticed one possible mistake. Why did the game ask me for the expansion cd? I thought with the BWP it would no longer be necessary to have a cd in the driver.

ToB asked you, SoA asked you, BG1 and TotSC, too.
Since it's a modded ToB game, it will still ask you if you did not apply a crack yourself.

(sorry, but I've never tried anything other than expert, so I wouldn't know )
If yes, would it be a good idea to incorporate the mechanism into the Fixpack??
@quinlan: Congrats on the install If you encounter any buggies, attach your WeiDU.log and a compressed BiG World Debug.txt And I see ... from extraction to end of install = 8 hours??
PS: Didya get Volcano! installed??
Cheers,
Lol

There are obviously some mods that either overwrite stats.ids or expect Detectable spells (installed by SCS2 and probably some other mods) to be present when it isn't yet. It is the same issue as here. Someone should start by doing a weidu --change-log stats.ids and then maybe look at rearranging the install order, including Detectable spells up front, preventing stats.ids from being overwritten, or some other solution.I got errors when installing kelsey mods, seems some stat were missing?

There might be a reason for changes to these - someone should compare the different versions and perhaps patch the spells instead of overwriting them.and, in kelsey.tp2 files, start from line 513, lots of spell reviesed by spell revision were overrided by kelsey mod
i think it's better to comment them out.COPY ~kelsey\SPCL144.spl~ ~override\SPCL144.spl~

And maybe we should split this thread into bugs/issues vs. questions/comments etc. As usual, it's getting hard to follow, and the post above I was looking for from yesterday is already buried under 3 pages of stuff .
Incidentally, an "Expert" install has taken over 2 days on my machine, and it's only on SCS now. Nothing else is running. Normal?
@Lollorian - NEJ does/did what you ask, but maybe it was reversed by BWP because NEJ's patch sucked. Get your own and apply it after the Bioware patch if you're going to do that.

About 8 hours, yes. I saw Volcano! mentioned in the list of mods when i started, run, exited to put it in the game folder and clicked BWP install.dat again. Normally there is no way to check it in game for the moment (imagine from Irenicus' dungeon to TOB with all the mods ), but i downloaded a program called shadowkeeper from sorcerer's place which permits tampering of characters and has an index of all items in the game. If it the +6 great sword is there, i will find it.
Edit: YES! Volcano Blade +6 at your service! Now all i have to do is get through SoA with a multitude of mods in order to reach the village of Balthazar in order to get it. I could put it in my inventory now with shadowkeeper, but it is no fun this way.

Woah!!! You sure?? The expert one I had (the new 8.1 one ... with the 80 kB WeiDU.log ) took around 10 hours, not much more ... And I'm not sure whether I have a powerhouse of a PC here I heard you were gonna install in an external drive, so the lower transfer rate might be the bottleneckIncidentally, an "Expert" install has taken over 2 days on my machine, and it's only on SCS now. Nothing else is running. Normal?
Originally, the BWP automatically installed the NeJ's mechanism at the end of the installation (even after biffing ) I dunno what happens now in these latest versions with the ToB Hacks and stuff@Lollorian - NEJ does/did what you ask, but maybe it was reversed by BWP because NEJ's patch sucked. Get your own and apply it after the Bioware patch if you're going to do that.
PS: And has NOBODY still noticed the scrollable spellbooks???
Ya know, NearInfinity's quite good too (ok, not as good as DLTCEP for .cre editing ) Grab the attachment here too if you want to use it with the BWPshadowkeeper

i also get an error message when the fixpack starts for Aurora and BG1UB as far as i can tell, it says patch.exe, "no cd in drive please insert a disc into drive D:" i close this message off and the batch file continues so i don't know if this means anything...
One thing of note is i've managed to do a recommended install ok even though i got the patch.exe error message.
can anyone figure this out? This isnt my first mega mod installation i have been lurking here for years and am constantly re-installing BG so i know the basics I just want to say i really appreciate the massive undertaking that is the BWP and i'm sure there are lots of gamers like me out there who are obsessed with BG and constantly following this projects progress.

Hi i've been trying to do a standard + tactics install using the big world setup for the past few days and i keep having problems. Several Mods and components (TDD, BGT + others) don't get installed because of 'permission denied' errors on certain files (see attached big world debug.txt)
i also get an error message when the fixpack starts for Aurora and BG1UB as far as i can tell, it says patch.exe, "no cd in drive please insert a disc into drive D:" i close this message off and the batch file continues so i don't know if this means anything...

I had the same eroors too < see attached for change log> any other files needed let me know

I started the instal bat on Saturday afternoon and it finished biffing Monday just before noon...
Also I noticed that the BWP fix beta went to 8.24 any word on what the new version fixes?

It looks like Sheena overwrote your stats.ids, even though it shouldn't really be doing that, but there's some dodgy code in there. Can you also attach your setup-sheena.tp2 and setup-sheena.debug files from your game folder.I had the same eroors too < see attached for change log> any other files needed let me know
Also there's several mods trying to install different (older) versions of detectable spells than SCS, so the whole thing is kind of a mess. You end up with a correct one (probably) due to SCS2, but any mods installed between SCS1 and 2 might have issues.
@Dstone: I don't know what "patch.exe" is, but permission issues sound like either a Vista UAC thing or maybe you had a CD in during the install when it shouldn't've been, I dunno.
