Ok, the known WoP error's there (so it didn't install )
Other than that, there's these 2 things: (1Sylm and tb#quest)[1Sylm\Zy1800\Zy18EWRD.BAF] PARSE ERROR at line 122 column 8-64 Near Text: ) [CheckStat] argument [WIZARD_PROTECTION_FROM_NORMAL_WEAPONS] not found in [Stats.IDS][tb#quest/udmage/compile/tb#udrow.BAF] PARSE ERROR at line 433 column 8-77 Near Text: ) [CheckStatLT] argument [WIZARD_PROTECTION_FROM_MAGIC_WEAPONS] not found in [Stats.IDS] [tb#quest/udmage/compile/tb#udrow.BAF] PARSE ERROR at line 611 column 1-72 Near Text: ) [CheckStatLT] argument [WIZARD_PROTECTION_FROM_MAGIC_WEAPONS] not found in [Stats.IDS]
So, if ya didn't get greedy with the resolution, you'd have a perfectly good game (ya might wanna take flinx's word on it and try to reinstall though )
Cheers,
Lol
Do you think it'd be a really bad idea to try changing the res? I mean, it looks like it was one of the last things installed, according to the Weidu log (correct?).

My biggest issue with reinstalling the widescreen mod is how much time it takes to do for a megamod install. I had to try out several resolutions until I found one that's optimal. It's probably better to do the testing on a clean BG2 install first (which shouldn't take long on a modern computer), to get a feel for the viewable area as well as text clarity, and then reapply the selected resolution to the BWP install.
How would I go about trying to change the res though? i mean, there's no Widescreen-setup exe in the game folder (I'm assuming it was cleaned out by the big world cleanup exe?). So would I just download the widescreen v2.2 mod, unpack and reinstall as a stand-alone, or no?

@BWP: I dunno if it got fixed in the newer BWP's but can you make a changelog after doing that now??I'm assuming it was cleaned out by the big world cleanup exe?
YepSo would I just download the widescreen v2.2 mod, unpack and reinstall as a stand-alone, or no?
Cheers,

It looks like you have had a bad time for downloading these mods. All listed mods are from sorcerers.net and from the French website. I think, the websites were short down as you try to download them. This happens sometimes and normally the BWS should guide/help you to get the mods from the net.At the end of availability checking i got this message:
-Summary- These selected downloads are defect: Boards o' Magick Item Pack (BoM Item Pack) v2.0 Improved Volcano! (Pack for ToB) v2.0 Mersetek le Joaillier v1.2 Alcool v0.9 Au service d'Oghma v1.5 Teleport Spell v13 Kiara-Zaiya NPCs (with translations) v1.6 Improved Summons v2.01 Finished.
@ Lollorian
We'll add the word "mod" in the discription, so it sounds a little bit clearer:Would it be a better option to just check the "Further customize install" by default, or just force the user to select his mods and make a backup (to prevent stuff like this)
Or maybe rename it to "Manually choose mods" or something
"Further customization of your mod-settings"
Why we choose this way of functionality? Normally new users which known BG, but not the mods, are helpless with all the megamod informations. We want to make it as easy as possible for them. That means they start the BWS, choose a BWP-Version (hopefully the Recommend one) and start it. The BWS does all the work for them and they don't need to know anything. Therefore we choose this way. For experienced BG gamers who knows some of the mods and a little bit about megamods, we give them the option to customize their installs. And therefore it is easier to let beginners start without clicking anything to go further and the experienced gamers choose to "Further customization of your mod-settings".
@ Kalanyr and Sanity
Thanks for your debug-reports and Lollorian thank you, for looking into the large debugfiles to report it. We'll check the shown warnings/errors.

Nice description. I'll take it and add it to the first post of this thread. EDIT: Done.

The following mod(s) could not be downloaded:
Boards o' Magick Item Pack (BoM Item Pack) v2.0: The Mod itself (BoM_Item_pack.rar)
Improved Volcano! (Pack for ToB) v2.0: The Mod itself (Volcano_Pack.zip)
Teleport Spell v13: The Mod itself (Teleport.rar)
Improved Summons v2.01: The Mod itself (Improved_Summons.rar)
Some files cannot be downloaded with the "BiG World Setup".
Do you want to try to load the mods again or open the links in your default-browser to try it yourself?
Enter [y]es, [r]etry or [n]o.
I have downloaded them on my own from the German or French site and i have them in my main BG directory. What should i chose?

Concerning the widescreen-mod: Wouldn't it be as effective to copy the weidu.log, edit the original one so that it only contains the widescreen-line, and reintall the mod?

Enter [r]emove missing mods or [c]ancel.
So what happens now? Have i downloaded them for the BWP, or not? I entered [n], downloaded and put everything in 'BiG World Downloads' in the requested forms (zip, rar).

Well, did you start the BiG World Install.bat and continued to install all the files, if so and it installed everything already, then does the Volcano already exist in the WeiDU.log, when you open it with Notepad, and if it does, the mod is alrweady installed, and you can then just start the game. After the Archive test i got this result:
It erased Improved Volcano! which i had put manually because it couldn't download it. Now what do i do? Can i install Volcano! after i finish with BWP?
Now, if the BiG WorLd Install.bat have not installed anything yet, but the archives have already been unarchived (the mod files are in the game directory), then you need to continue to the installation...
And I am not very clear about this, but you might have meant:
To which the right answer is, the BiG World Install.bat(that is started when the BiG World Setup.vs ends, the black WeiDU looking window) will install all the mods not in the Summary, so the Volcano will be installed if you just continue to the installation, and not do another file check. Now what do I do? Can I install Volcano! after I am finish with BWP?
Why didn't you just point into here#7?Yep, since the BWP-modded game doesn't require the CD, it's only a matter of copying the entire folder to THE SAME PATH where it is on the original PC (otherwise, you may need to edit the paths under the [Alias] section of the baldur.ini)Is it possible, once the install is complete and everything is biffed and cleaned up, for the entire BG2 directory to just be transferred to other comps and/or burned onto DVDs and played straight from the folder without actually being installed?
You made me feel lonely...

1) Has all the mods been extracted correctly?(Are they in the game folder)I am incapacitated! How do i check these things you write about?
2) Is the BiG World Setup still running? It will start the BiG World Install.bat when it ends itself.
3) Is the BiG World Install.bat running, and is it installing the mods? Has it finished?

Checking Improved Volcano! (Pack for ToB) v2.0
The archive does not have the correct size.
Why all this trouble for a small item mod? Can something be done with the URL which BWP couldn't find and was the start of my troubles? Because i dont seem to be able to manualy enter something that the BWP doesn't find when downloading the mods. Can i install it after everything is done, or will it bug the whole installation?

I would suggest to extact the mod to the game folder(so you have the setup-volcano.exe, setup-volcano.tp2 files and the Volcano folder there), and then just run the BiG World Install.bat, it will install the Volcano! mod too.Can i install it after everything is done, or will it bug the whole installation?
