If you haven't already done it:
- enable console by adding Debug Mode=1 under [Program Options] in your Baldur.ini.
- the console can be opened by pressing Ctrl + Space.
- enter CLUAConsole:MoveToArea("AR9001") and press Enter.

AR9001 can be replaced by other valid area names.

Get the console out, and insert this on it:
CLUAConsole:MoveToArea("ar9001")

Question: How is the "Big World Install.bat" supposed to finish? Because mine stood for hours, and when I checked in on it it was no longer working and said something about tashia.mp3 in the header, it just seemed like it hadn't finished properly, the game isn't working either, it crashes immediately:

Yes, it had been stuck for hours, also the header or whatever didn't say c:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe any longer, but something with tashia.mp3 and something about KHz or bps, it all looked very odd and I concluded that it had stopped working.

I wiped everything from my HD earlier today, reinstalled both games, and I'm running it again now. This time I manually selected mods, so I have substantially less, hopefully reducing risk of failure.
The DOS window has been running for around 2 hours, however it does seem like it has stopped working, the last lines are:

WeiDU files in version order:
[Long list of mods]
Copying [setup-wheels.exe] -> [Setup-Assassinations.exe]: false

Well guess what. :D
Replace the Setup-X.exe-files with a copy of weidu.exe if it does not auto-update itself.
I guess Setup-Assassinations.exe has not the same size as the weidu.exe, so replace it and start the BiG World Install.bat again until the last line you see for a longer time is not a similar message.

?? ^_^ (that's what its saying in my install right now :lol:) It was probably biffing all the files at the end :crying: (it takes some 2 hours for that :D)

And about the new halt, it's probably stopped again (if it's been like that for 30 mins ...) close the window, copy the WeiDU.exe amd remame the new one to Setup-A6CharmPatch.exe. Then restart the BiG World Install.bat ...

PS: [Setup-A6CharmPatch.ese]?? Did you type that entire thing?? :o :Bow:

Damn, ninjaed by dabus :P

Btw, dabus, since the install.bat replaces all the setups with the WeiDU using xcopy, why do the setups still update??

Don't ask me why, I'm a bit puzzled about that myself.
I know that the 1sylum-setup is named wrong and could cause trouble, though.
Or maybe there's a fix that uses an old copy of weidu that causes that.
But I must admit that I have not touched an installation nor a batch for a few weeks, so this may be outdated. ;)

What do you mean replace the setup-x.exe with weidu.exe, how do I do that?

I'd guess you remove one file and replace it with a copy of the other file. :P

Hello there, i recently found of this mod and proceed to install it, theres a problem though. I start the game correctly in BGI, but when i try to open the map or transition to another area(same thing as the map open to select your destination), it gives this error.

Also i tried to install the original BG1 music mod to no avail, but i dont know if you provide support for that one too. Thanks in advance.

i just finished bg1, and was supposed to be teleported north of amn to get kidnapped for bg2. however, all i see is three people standing in a small forresty map, doing nothing, the cutscene doesn't progress.
is there any solution to this? i'd like to continue with bg2 now.
and i never got dynaheirs lovetalk26 and 27. could the fact that i got 28/29/30 have to do with it? i got those after gorion's letter before going back to baldur's gate after candlekeep. but i read i'm supposed to get 26 after entering undercity, and 27 after killing sarevok. i'd like to know what's in em.

Well, what's the BGT's version number and date in your WeiDU.log? The newer bug should be corrected with the file in this post.

excuse me for double posting, guests can't edit.
the fix worked, and i'm now in amn.
however, i can't go to the slums, or indeed any area except for promenade/arena/gate. is it supposed to be like this? how can i get to the slums or other districts?

I have missed something obvious, obviously, but how did you get to Amn? And you did load from before the last talk to Belt so the cur scene has even slight chance of actually happen? And then you should be in the Irenicus Dungeon? Right? Then you exit from there... eventually(RoT, CtB etc. should come to play here, if they are installed)... and then you get to the promenade, you exit from one of the maps edges and you get to the slum district, try all of them if one doesn't work,

i loaded the pre-belt talk, he talked, i had a cutscene (multiple in fact, 'cause of an npc mod), got the chores to do in candlekeep, which i skipped by whining to gorion.
after that i ran through the irenicus dungeon normally, 'till i reached amn.
imoen got taken, i saved the circus, tried to cross to another district, and discover i can't.
i can still travel to the city gates and arena, and outside areas like the neng horseranch, watchers keep or north forest.
i tried all the edges on the map, none of em work.

i bought things in the adventurer's mart, and got the genie, who i asked to teleport me to the copper coronet. that worked, and once stepping out, i could travel from the slums to any other district.
is this safe? or is the sign i couldn't before this one that something's messed up and i will most likely not b e able to finish BG2?

If yes, then you've got a great game :coolthumb:

@dabus: Could the setups updating thing be related to how the BWS unpacks stuff?? I know that there's atleast one mod in .exe form that contains a WeiDU.exe (not renamed) at version 18500

And then the install.bat uses the WeiDU.exe present to update everything. Dunno :P Probably stuff ... evil stuff?!? :D
