gaelan talked to me after i went to the slums, so going on just fine.

however, i'm at the bridge district for the first time right now, and there's a cutscene with a red-robed man casting a spell, then two cowled wizards show up. after that they stand there doing nothing together. any idea how to solve this?

IF
Global("D0QPSpawnCowled","AR0500",0)
Global("Reveal0500","AR0500",1)
THEN
RESPONSE #100
SetGlobal("D0QPSpawnCowled","AR0500",1)
CreateCreature("d0qpcow3",[3543.866],0) // Mage
Continue()
END

the location seems about right. any idea where this is from? how do i fix it?

Well, that block comes from ding0's questpack (questpack\encounters\DING0\et_0500.baf) so it'd be better to ask in their forums :)

@Guest: Finally, some useful info (though it really should be reported here rather than in this monster laundry list thread where it's going to get buried quickly :o).

@Lollorian: If I'm not wrong, that mod hasn't been updated in years. Why would everyone suddenly be getting this issue all of the sudden? Seems more likely it's something caused by a BWP Fix (there's a bunch of these) or a conflict with another newer mod.

PS: I don't read this massive thread often, so if you have more comments or info on this, post it in that other thread.

Since there are several new components in aTweaks v3 I've put up a few compatibility notes which might be relevant for the next version of BWP.

Just wanted to drop by and say thanx for all people involved in making this mod possible.
The sheer coolness of this Big chunk 'O mod is amazing.

After being fed up with the more recent games, I returned to the established classics.

Currently enjoying BWP 2.8 in "Tactical" and it rules. The BG series never shined like this.

Anyway

Cheers!

LOL  If you got that to work, you're a STAR!!! :coolthumb:

Anyway, I noticed that since the BWP Fixpack isn't updated, it still uses Crefixer v1 (which overwrites v2 even if its in the BGII-SoA folder) Probably not a problem, but it reduces ... fixiness :D

Hey everyone, just posting a quick question here since I don't know a better place to do it:

Is there anything in BWP that messes with the sorcerer's stat requisites? Afaik, in vanilla he depends on no stat in particular. That could be considered a flaw - so, is it still true for a BWP standard installation?

EDIT:

Ok, another question...

Here's the thing: I finally managed to get the BWB standard installation (minus a few npc mods that I knew I wouldn't be using) up and running.
However, after starting the game, I noticed that the widescreen mod at 1680*1050, while looking great (as I'm sure I don't have to tell you guys) just made everything too damn small for my tastes. After some fruitless google searches and a rather discouraging review of the BWP manual, I decided to probably mess up my installation and just reinstall the mod at 1024*768. Now, to my complete and utter surprise, the game still starts fine and even let me load my game without any noticeable adverse effects. Surely that can't be right? I was fully expecting to be forced to do another installation run. Any feedback on this? Will I notice problems creeping up further down the road that are caused by my actions here?

Thanks :)

What kind of stat requites would you dream there to be? As none of the stats actually provide any bonuses/penalties to the Sorcerers skills, just mages, the point becomes moot. Yes, there is a mod that changes the Sorcerers requirement stat from 9 of intelligence to 9 of charisma, but it has no other effect(and I cannot remember if it's installed).
By the way, the Mages table doesn't even fully work in the vanilla game, as I just cheated to become an 18th level wizard, and I was able to cast the tenth level Improved A---whatever spell, which is more than a wizard that has intelligence of 12 should be able to cast.

Now, to my complete and utter surprise, the game still starts fine and even let me load my game without any noticeable adverse effects. Surely that can't be right? Well you see, the Generalized_Biffing can today be stack-uninstalled unlike the old previously used End_Bif's.
The only advice I would give is not to use the old saves, so you need to start a new game.

Thank you Jarno.
The stat requirements I would dream there to be would be the ones that the game as well as the manual actually state - Intelligence and charisma. However, I can live well with no real stat requirements at all, just wanted to make sure I wasn't gimping the char I'm going to spend hundreds of hours with most likely. :)

Actually, for some reason, the game started getting *very* laggy/jerky after I reinstalled the widescreen mod. I therefore decided to do another installation, just to be on the safe side. Might be wasted effort, but I guess I'll find out (a few hours later ;) )

Thanks for your reply!

Have you done nearly everything in this FAQ? Mostly the Answer 5... :)

They'll all take ages, well not the downloading, but the decisions... and the tweaking.

Currently playing around various restarts and Classes to see them work.

I encountered a slight annoyance where the shapeshifter class is concerned.

The Transformation simply gives the PC the proper bonuses and skills, plus the Claws.
But the Avatar\Paper-Doll remain the same. The Doll and Ava just have the leather armor look to them.

The Werewolf form is nowhere to be seen.
Only by changing back into Human Form, the werewolf Form is shortly visible and then gone.

Any ideas?
My guess is the neat looking 1PP Avatars have to do something with it. Alas I call no Modding Voodoo my own.
so its a blind shot!

Lucky Guess.

Any way to redeem that without spending another 6 hours on installation. Or removing the Avas?
I'm quite fond of the Avas.

Hi. Registered to thank you for the work you've put into this and report some bugs.

I'm running vista 64bit with the recommended version of this mod.

Bugs I have experienced so far (started BG1, up to Beregost now):
1) crashed when leaving Candlekeep (one time occurrance tho)
2) the pop up texts in the lower part of the UI stay unless you change screen to for example character record. This doesn't happen if the pop up text is from the "sides" of the UI. Really annoying, like when reading what spell you are going to cast the text stays there blocking the view.
3) a couple of times the NPC specific soundtrack has looped so that theres 2 of them playing with a second or 2 interval.
4) I cant get widescreen mod to work. It just wont start the game. No error msg or anything.
5) The ring that you get from the mage west of Beregost after the chicken quest seems bugged. If I put it on a character the char freezes and I cant do anything about it. So I just sold the ring.
6) With an ankheg shell in inventory the smithy wouldn't let me see his wares when I said I didn't have money for the armor, so I had to drop it to the ground to stop him from asking me over and over again.

Minor annoyances:
1) cant skip any video when it plays for the first time (for example entering Friendly Arm Inn)
2) world map seems really small (need to scroll around a lot)

Good to see that I'm not alone :) Like I said here, it'd help great if the BWP modded the .ini to enable all the BGI and BGII vanilla movies so they can skipped the next time they play ^_^

2) world map seems really small (need to scroll around a lot)

All the BGI areas in the map come in a single screen for me :P (and the other areas only unlock if you're doing their megaquests :D) Maybe it's also cause you aren't using widescreen??

Well, there is a myth that you can give the creature effected immunity to the avatar change effect(to the pawn item), but I haven't the slightest idea on how to go about to do that, and I have no install not the tool ready for this even if I was ready to try to fix this.
