I've successfully completed the setup (I downloaded the version 8.0 on the website...the program searched for an update and I believe it updated, but I'm not sure...the installer, however, is version 8.1, which I manually downloaded and extracted to the SoA directory) for the mimimal mods + most of the recommended + many of the standards with no errors or conflicts. Things smoothly transition to the install batch, at which time I have disconnected from the internet, stopped all other programs from functioning on my computer, and selected the standard install option, and adjust the widescreen dimensions to 1280 x 800. Again, no problems. After I get to the hit any key screen, I stop using my computer at all, and periodically check back on it. However, 3 times (after each one I've actually done a complete uninstall/reinstall/re-setup) the install has frozen. The last time, I waited 6 hours after I noticed it freezing, and it still hasn't progressed. The first freeze was copying a BGT core file. The second freeze was something script related to yoshimo (can't remember that one well). And this freeze (which I still have the untouched DOS prompt running in the background) is at the following line:
[WeiDU-Backup] Using scripting style "BG"
And it's been that way for 6 hours.
From the only other post I've read on freezing during the install, I realize you might need more info, but I wasn't really sure of what you need and how to get that information into this post.
Also, I read that there was some combination of pressing "n", renaming some setup file in the directory of where the program froze, and some other stuff I don't understand; which would allow me to resume the install. As it is, I'm not really sure how to go about doing this.
Anyway, thanks in advance for any help.
