The important thing is, they can all be left out if you wish that, but including a rejected mod is harder, as you have to edit the "BiG World Install.bat" after the BWS.

No need to edit the bat for that at least, you can just tell the install bat that you're running in expert and it will install whatever modules are unpacked in your SOA directory.

Sorry, but if we reject a mod, we throw it outside the Expert mode, you can't download it with BWS, nor can you install it with "BiG World Install.bat", without changing it.

Sorry Jarno, you've lost me there, I was talking about moving Full Plate & Packing Steel to the Expert install within BWP, not removing it entirely. If it were in the expert install then you could select it to be installed in any install and get it installed by telling the bat that you were doing an expert install when prompted.
There's a fine line between Genius and Madness... And I'm sure I could find it if my space hamster hadn't hidden my glasses.

What about mod "Desecration of Souls"? Is it compatible with megamod?

What is Desecration of Souls anyway? Or rather, what's left of it?

I mean, it's part of a Standard installation, yet the second post here mentions several things that sound like Tactics material.

I don't really know, what is left of it, but "The Undying" comes with these new components:

0 ["The Undying" Mod (Requires Throne of Bhaal)]
1 [Smarter Enemies]
2 [Harder Enemies]

We install the mod on this way:
%IFES%TheUndying%S%TheUndying%L%0%SK% 0 1 | %M%
%IFGS%TheUndying%S%TheUndying%L%1%SK% 0 1 | %M%
%IFHNLS%TheUndying%S%TheUndying%L%0%SK% 0 1 | %M%

%IFTES%TheUndying%S%TheUndying%L%0%SK% 2 --logapp | %M%
%IFTGS%TheUndying%S%TheUndying%L%1%SK% 2 --logapp | %M%
%IFTHNLS%TheUndying%S%TheUndying%L%0%SK% 2 --logapp | %M%
That means, the [Harder Enemies] will be installed with the Tactic-version only and the other both with the Standard-version.

Greetings Leomar

Hi, I've been playing around with this, and I note that you've got your timeouts set low (for checking if connected to the internet/if updates exist) for someone on dialup or satellite broadband it'll time out even if they are connected to the internet or if the files are available. Apart from that it works great.

Hm, so how many milliseconds would you recommend, if 200 is too fast? 1000?
I must admit that I made it a little short since I have to test/start it often and it worked for me. ;)

A ping of this site gives me an average of ~883 ms and a max of 933. So 1000 seems good.

Edit - Kim162b.zip has been updated to Kim162c.zip with Kim162b.zip now being in the old/ subdirectory. This confused me for a bit since Kim162b.zip in the old place does return a file but its an empty file along with a 404. I'm having a poke around to see if there's anything major changed now.

ETA - The english readme isn't correctly updated but this is what the french says:

1. bcs->baf
2. Ajout de Kimbody dans KimVamp.cre
3. Correction et complément su gain d'xp lors de l'engagement dans l'équipe
4. Correction du double dialogue de récompence à Franc-Marché
5. Correction du niveau sonores des phrases :
Kimd "A l'abordage !"
Kime "En garde"
Kimj "Ah les villes, pleins de gens à détroudder."
Kimp "Ouais."
Kimq "Besoin de ma lame ?"

Looking at the files it seems harmless enough.

Also the no longer available "reminder" mods are still included in tactics mode extraction at least. Which causes some strange results. Quallo also doesn't detect as having successfully extracted either, although it has\s.

The update to v162c is small and corrects only two triggers. But if you found the new version, you can download it to your download directory after the BWS is finished and delete the old Kim version. Extract Kim to your BG2 directory and start the Install.bat. The new version will be recognized. By the way, we update the linkliste twice a day, so the new version is now included in the linklist and the BWS will get the one.

Quallo also doesn't detect as having successfully extracted either, although it has\s.

The Quallo detection is fixed with the Update-Package for the BWS.

We changed it to 1000 and the BWS does it now.

The readme.txt is completely outdated, as are some other files no longer in use.

Is there a reason iiItem and the rest of igi's mods aren't included anymore? They are probably "Expert"-type mods (iiItem will add a lot of free loot to the game) but better than some that are already included. Also, the Install.bat will still complain if iiItem is missing, even though you apparently don't get an opportunity to select or deselect it.

Also, I can recommend yarpen's kit mods there, since I beta-tested them a long time ago (for Tutu anyway).

I'll vouch (again) for iiKeyNames and the oh-so-awesome iiSpellAdjustments (I'm using it right now ... and it's super-duper-fantabulous  ... in a ... different kinda way :P)

And yeah, iiItems too :P

iiTweaks has only 1 BWP recommendable component btw (the Raise Dead cost change), so maybe that too

Cheers,

I know that there were some issues concerning the iiItem-installation.
Although I'm not involved with the testing, I guess that it was removed because of that.

I know that there were some issues concerning the iiItem-installation.

The only issues apart from balance I know of with it is that it takes ages to install on BWP if you do it late in the install order. So you probably want to install it fairly early. The difference will be that it won't add random items to mod stores, CREs, etc. that are installed after it, but that isn't such a bad thing in my opinion.

Also, BWS reports a conflict between Divine Remix v5 & PnP Free Action v1. I'm quite sure I cross-tested it with this mod. Though I've heard some vague reports of potential incompatibility with Spell Revisions, these were never confirmed that I know of. So does anyone know what the exact conflict is here?

Desecration of Souls doesn't exist any more yes. It was a tactics/quest/stores/items kinda mod.

Her locks were as yellow as gold
Her skin was white as leprosy.
The Nightmare Life-in-Death was she,
Who thicks man's blood with cold.

Leonardo had a problem with installing iiItems (a lot of errors and warnings) and yes he tried it late in the install order. White Agnus wants to look at it, but I think, at first we found no time and then we forgot it. To much other things to do... I'll talk with Leonardo and White Agnus, so we try it again and reports the problems, perhaps we can find a solution together.

Oh, yes, there were some confusions about it in the past and I think your're right and we forgot to update the guide and tools for it :(. The main problem was Spell Revisions - Divine component, but like I know, that is fixed. As lac tested all the combinations at G3 (Spell Revisions forum), it turned out that all was fine with Divine Remix. O.K., we'll delete the not existing conflict.

In my game, there are dupes of some druid spells like sunscorch (1 from DR and the other from SR ... oh, and the third's from TDD) :P I dunno if that counts as a conflict though ... If only there were something to fix dupe spells or something :D

That has nothing to do with PnP Free Action, which does not add new spells, but only changes existing ones so they do not inhibit Free Action.
