The Mage cant be found in Bonehill 2nd floor, i found this spellbook but not him. I also cant open the one door, says i need to repair it... i have the key to the tower but i seem to be stuck.

If you haven't found out already:

There's a bunch of secret doors on the second level. The one leading to the mage is right next to the door in need of repair you mentioned, at the end of the passageway behind it. It might take a few seconds of leaving the pointer there, with the party next to it, to detect it.

If you haven't gotten to that passageway yet, then you need to find other secret doors. If I recall correctly, the first secret door leading to the mage is in the first room to the north from the staircase you use to access the second level.
