So, how about it, will you buy Dragon Age: Origins? The release dates are as follows at the moment:

PC and Xbox 360:
NA November 3, 2009
EU November 6, 2009

Personally I think I'll purchase it on launch day (Nov 6th for me)... BioWare got me hyped up once again, and I just can't resist trying it out. My expectations of the game have definitely changed since the early days... ;)

First I will wait for the reviews of some players (non fanboys) to see if it is worth it, then I will see ... I still have so many games to play that it may wait (I have the Witcher, gothic series, some Hitman games to do, not to mention all abandonware - recently playing Crusader: no remorse ...)

Not before patch 1 at the very earliest. Then I'll think about it.

I'm planning on buying it right up. I know that while it might not be a great game, it'll be an entertaining game, like BioWare's other releases. I'm also looking forward to the toolset, as I have a few ideas there. :)

Yet another reason to play it on PC... :)

Knowing the NWN modding scene, I expect some pretty interesting mods for DA later on.

As a Bioware fan, I feel obligated, even if it may not be a great game..who knows, I may find something I like...at least the toolset will be there.

If I do get it, it'll probably be when it hits the bargain bin.

I'm not interested in the actual game at all, but we're planning a little something and want to try out the toolset. I guess I'll buy it as soon as I can.

What do you guys think of the Collector's Edition? I think it looks decent enough, but considering how much I regretted buying the NWN2 Collector's Edition, I just don't know...

I went for "When it hits the bargain bin", but my real answer is actually "I'm undecided" or rather "maybe".

Oh, and in my experience, the collector version is never worth it. I still have disgruntled memories of the BG2 collector's edition (and it was a gift, no less): sure, I had neat little cards (like those baseball cards with the players that you can collect), but I only had a few NPCs and the Planar Sphere, let alone a full set! Poo.... :(

There are always some variations of the recommended price, but the ones below are fairly accurate. Some places may have it for something less, but I don't usually order games from abroad, so I couldn't really say for sure.

PC CE: Amazon & EB Games/GameStop - 59.99 USD
PS3 CE: Amazon & EB Games/GameStop - 74.99 USD
Xbox 360 CE: Amazon & EB Games/GameStop - 74.99 USD
