Do you mean you haven't seen it available for pre-order in any UK based gamestore or equivalent? It looks remarkably like the CE is not available in the UK. Mind you, anyone that wants to pre-order from over here should do it via amazon.co.uk - it's £10 cheaper than the shelf price.
I mean, I live in Finland, and we always get the UK versions when it comes to games - and I've seen all three CEs available for pre-order here. Granted, it's only one shop so far, but it's widely used.

The Collector's Edition is exclusive to Game in the UK. £39.99 for pre-order. And it doesn't seem to have all the stuff that the US version gets.

Finland
? Steel Case
? Bonus DVD
? Cloth Map
? In Game Content
UK
? Plastic Collector's Box
? Bonus DVD
? In Game Content
AFAIK, the contents of the bonus DVD and the in game content are the same in both versions, the UK entry is just missing a mention of a cloth map and apparently has a plastic box instead of a metal case.

You know, that's kind of odd... I've just compared the entry at my store to the UK one at Game, here's how it plays out:
Finland
? Steel Case
? Bonus DVD
? Cloth Map
? In Game Content
UK
? Plastic Collector's Box
? Bonus DVD
? In Game Content

Yes, well, it appears that EA in the UK are more concerned with ensuring the Collector's Edition is attractive in terms of price rather than including the same components that appear in other countries. That is what an EA representative answered in reply to an email from an English customer. It doesn't look like a sensible decision to me, because people who want the CE are by definition willing to pay extra for extra content. I'm rather curious what a price of £44.99 converts to, since presumably the reduced content would mean a cheaper price than elsewhere, but I suspect it means we're paying the same as everyone else for inferior content.

PC Collector's Edition, Finland - 59.95 ? = 53.97 GBP
PC Collector's Edition, UK - 39.99 GPB = 44.40 ?
The UK CE is 15.55 ? / 13.98 GBP cheaper.

I only just made up my mind to purchase the game today when they did the Zevran character update.
Yeah, I think Alistair will end up in my party.I think I might have to change my answer. I started checking out the official web site, and started thinking "hummm, this looks interesting", and then, headed over to DeviantArt, saw some Alistair fan art, and went into screeching fan girl mode. So, yeah, I'm thinking about getting it as soon as it launched. Curse those diabolical people over at marketing!
There will now be two, two male romanceables for the female pc! (I never thought it would happen)
Finally, a male elf (Zevran) to romance as well.

I never thought that would happen either... It's like video game developers are only noticing now that there actually *are* female gamers (or, in the broader sense, people who want to romance males!).
But, yup, Zevran has his own character page now, and from what I can tell from that little video... I think Alistair is going to have some competition!!
That's it, I'm hooked... The only thing I'm debating now is whether to pre-order it, or just wait til it comes out and order it then...

Zevran does look rather interesting, doesn't he. Although the accent might start to grate on me after a while. But I still think that Alistair has an edge, given his comments in everyone else's character vids. It depends on how swooping works in practice.
Ah well, Collector's Edition for me anyway. I'd still rather have the extra material that's in it outside the UK even if it costs a little more, but I'm a sucker for the things when it's a game I'm going to buy regardless.

CDON.COM has it available for pre-order. I think it's the cheapest and easiest alternative for us Finns at the moment.PC Collectors Edition. I'll even drive few hours to get it home safe.
I'm still waiting to see if Puolenkuun Pelit is going to sell the CE though, because I'd personally get 25 ? rounded off the final price with them.

Was actually thinking to get it from closest Tilt shop. CDON has lower price but I don't trust our mailman. Last time he left my poster package outside the front door! Well thank God he didn't try to get it fit our mailbox...
