When you start BWS, It asks you which version you want (standard, recommended, expert, tactics or something like that). That pre-selects mods for you.
Then you can add or remove mods.
After that, when the install.bat start, it ask you again if you want a STANDARD, TACTIC and EXPERT, and this time, that pre-selects components for you (amongst those available in the mods you have previously chosen).
So if you choose first recommended mods but tactic component (of these mods), you will have mage "pre-buff" component
This should be all said here... But combining them... when you start the BWS, you can choose:
Minimal: BG2Fixpack,
BWP tools+ and with or without
BGTRecommended: Those above and the Green mods from
here.
Standard: The above and the Pink/Light_red mods from there.(According to Leomar it's blue, but in my eyes, it's like pink, I might be color blind or the different forum background might interfere) Anyways:
Tactical: The above and the the Orange mods from there.
Expert: The above and the the Gray mods from there.
And then it downloads and unpacks them, and starts the BiG World Install.bat
Which looks at the mods in the game folder, you then can adjust the mods as it checks what's there and whether you wish to continue or make a recheck when you have adjusted the mods by manually adding or removing them, and then it asks to select Language and in which mode to install every mod in your game folder:
Standard: Installs all the mods that belong to either Minimal, Recommended or Standard BWS installation if they are in the game folder. With the said options of those mods.
Tactical: The above and the Tactical mods & Tactical options of those mods.
Expert: The above and the bug-gy mods too.
Ok now I understand. I always thought the BWS somehow "created" a custom install.bat by adding/deleting lines from the BWP Installpack install.bat Hmmm ... that's something to ponder on.
It actually does a bit editing to the Install.bat, or the standard install would insist the
BGT, but doesn't if you put the - to the proper place in the BWS... as it skips the check that makes it priority, and it also adjusts the insert that is put to the
BGT mods installer(that shows where the
BG1+BGTotSC+patch v1.3.5512 is).
Uuh, my life is so hollow.
