Ok here they are and thx for the help already. I had the problem every 3 times i installed BWP since friday.

I don't know what you did wrong but your big world debug is full of errors, I don't know if even one mod installed correctly in your install attempt. I don't know exactly why, maybe one of the experienced people of this forum can help you find that out...

Is the BG1 modified game? As it need to be clean install...
And what does it read under the [Alias] header in the baldur.ini inside the D:\Baldur's Gate/ folder.

Your install actually seems to have gone better than others (I can't see the Darkhorizons error, maybe you fixed it yourself? ^_^) but you have the Bonehill error many mention here, give it a bump ;)

And the main problem seems to be your original BGI-TotSC installation.

First, did you actually HAVE TotSC (Baldur's Gate - tales of the Sword's Coast) in the first place??)
Did you apply the 5512 patch?
Did you mod the original BGI??

Those are the only things I could think of :P

Cheers,
Lol

Yes i have a clean install of BG1 and TotSC with the 5512 patch. Only problem is i can't start it after because my pc can't handle the 640x480 resolution. So i can't make a savegame.
I only tryed the widescreen mod to get the game started, that didn't work. Maybe thats the problem?

My baldur.ini for BG1 reads:
[Alias]
HD0:=D:\Baldur's Gate\
CD1:=F:\CD1\
CD2:=F:\CD2\
CD3:=F:\CD3\
CD4:=F:\CD4\
CD5:=F:\CD5\
CD6:=F:\CD6\
[Program Options]
SoftSrcKeyBltFast=0
SoftBltFast=0
SoftSrcKeyBlt=0
SoftBlt=0
SoftMirrorBlt=0
Translucent Shadows=1

[GameSpy]

Well, yes.

Did you do a custom install of BG1 + LotSC and selected all items?

Yeah, like dabus said, you may not have checked all the options (full install) when installing BGI :mellow:

But I noticed something else, vanilla BGI shouldn't have .bif's called
TB#150.BIF
TB#420.BIF
TB#430.BIF
TB#450.BIF
TB#480.BIF
TB#453.BIF
etc etc ...

since those are the erring biffs, my fingers point to them, or shouldn't they?? :unsure:

Cheers,

By the way, you can play BG1 in window-mode by adding this key to your Program Options-skection in your baldur.ini.

[Program Options]
Full Screen=0

Has anyone else had a problem with attacks/round?  My third level archer (5 stars) has only 2 attacks/round (longbow).  I am fairly sure there were no problems during install.  I use 64bit Vista and a 'recommended' install.

I have a second game with a 5th level archer (4 or 5 stars) also with only 2 attacks/round (longbow).

Thanks,
Bill

I have a level 1 archer with 3 attacks per round like it is normal. I also have 64 bit vista and I did a "tactical" install. I don't know why you have such a small attack per round since your install was smaller than mine, so issues should have been avoided...

I'll try a tactical install and see if I get the same problem.

Thanks!

So... am I supposed to run the Fixpack BEFORE I install it?

No, the BiG World Install.bat will do that for you. Unless you go totally nude and don't use the .bat at all...
But I would advice to use the BWS, and make sure to use the 'Further customize your ...' mark so you can choose exactly which mods to download unpack and install and the BWS will do that all automatically.

Has anyone else had a problem with attacks/round? My third level archer (5 stars) has only 2 attacks/round (longbow). I am fairly sure there were no problems during install. I use 64bit Vista and a 'recommended' install.

The explanation is probably the Item Revision I think, it's Bow system may alters the attacks per round for all the bows. From the read me:

# All Bows: Now cause additional damage equal to enchantment level, but provide only an extra half attack per round instead of an extra full attack.
# Long Bows: Replaced +1 THAC0 bonus with +1 damage bonus. Composite Long Bows will normally deal 2 damage more than regular long bows.

If you do a tactical install be careful to avoid the problems with dark horizon, and Enemy upgrade. Read about these problems and their fixes earlier in the thread.

I just checked - the Item Revision version I have (v.2) has a different readme than the one online:

Weapon Changes
These changes started as a way to make bastard swords more appealing, and evolved into adjusting a number of weapon types so as to make every class of weapon appealing.

â?¦Long Bows: No longer grant +1 THAC0. Now provide +1 damage.
â?¦Composite Long Bows: Damage bonuses are dependant on minimum strength required to wield.
â?¦Crossbows: Now grant +1 THAC0.

I guess they updated the readme after I downloaded my file.
Oh well, I'll see about changing that part of the install.

Thanks for the help!

Bill

I guess they updated the readme after I downloaded my file.

The online readme reflects the contents of the latest hotfixes, while the readme that comes with v2 reflects the contents of v2. The BWP Fixpack includes the latest hotfixes, but not the updated readme.

You should note that if you don't want the bow change, you'll have to avoid both the main IR component and the Weapon Changes component.

You did a manual install and forgot to run the BWPFixpack before you started, right?? ^_^

The fixpack block that converts everything to BGT store names doesn't seem to have worked.

Cheers,
Lol

not exactly, i made half-automatic instalation :P after Nej-bifing the automatic instalation was broken end nej2 must have been installed manualy, some big mods too, but after all the automatic instalation was going on and then finished without errors.
