Why is this thread still public?

[...]

Do we really want to go back to the dark days of modding?

Because deleting or censoring it is exactly what would have happened in the "dark days of modding." MTS, you should know SHS and me well enough by now to realize that we're not simply going to ignore situations like this. I feel your above post would have been better suited in a PM, and if you have additional comments, I'd rather you send me one of those instead of posting again.

For the rest of the (prospective) participants in this topic, I only have one request: Please do not feed the troll.

Typical.

And by typical you are right again.

Sorry everyone.

Ahem... And I used to think the 'anvil offtopic' thread was really fun.

Still, lets cease mindless trolling and give administration any more reasons to delete it. Else how would people be supposed to know of the event?

You don't want this to happen. If the line originates from where I think it does, 'doing stuff' involves cleaving heads open with a meat billhook.

PS And now I'm the troll myself... Too late, I guess.

Well, I can but thank Qwinn for the enormous effort put on the production of his mods.

I am very greateful and happy that he stood up and created his mods (especially the fixpack) for PS:T.

It is very possible that among the fixes there might be something a little controversial.

But I cannot accept that this argument is used to smirch Qwinn's (or everyone else's) modding activity. Despite the presence of possible debatable fixes, everyone should just ask himself/herself how many other universally identified bugs have been removed from the game as well!

This disrespectful attitude has caused some talented modders to retire or dedicate their time to something else and it's a real shame.

So for me, no need to apologize, Qwinn!

Just keep up the great job!

It's funny how I ask people to stop feeding the troll, and they continue to do just that.

I'll say it again: Stop.

You need a nice stop-sign emoticon.

Is it wrong I picture you having hacked-phpBB and whenever you do an update on the forum, you use weidu to make it happen?

Seems like you have the talent to do just about anything else with weidu.

That's strange. I know few people who have this habit of writing down a signature after posting (example of Leomar, who's doing a lot of good work with maintaining mods for Big World Project and his "Greetings, Leomar" was always puting a smile on my face) and always thought that things like this shouldn't be a problem. But that's probably the matter of two facts: they want to feel a bit better, and, sorry Qwinn, they really love the moment when you're doing "ouch" because your "ouch" is long as this as they described "wall of text". When victim ignores morons - they don't like it. When he becomes aggressive, they come back to mommy and cry. But when they are trying to understand and explain their reasons... that's bad-guy festiva. Just some free thoughts about case number 1.

Disses and beefs among Infinity scene - always thought that's the domain of polish Infinity scene where everyone hates everyone and I hope you'll never get to this point of frustration (situation when camp A wants to create translations group but camp B who already got it writes bad stuff about A so noone wants to join aren't damn good). I think that Qwinn said nothing so bad that he should explain everything and apologise at his forum. But maybe that's another culture. Don't agree fully with Salk's opinion - "you've did AWESOME mods so you can say everything to everyone, we still love you" but still, Qwinn's words werent so rude and he had a good explanation for that.

I hope that Qwinn will just go on and work on his great mods (I've always thought that he got a great sense of difference between FIX and UB) and everything gonna be fine. Okay? :)

Who care if one or the other of these guys say lunatic things or not? We praise them cause they are good moders, not cause we like their signature or the charming tone of their posts. All these arguments are ludicrous.
Why this topic is not closed yet by the way? This admin is too nice, heavy enforcement for the win!

In the golden days (when there was only teambg), trolls of comparable caliber caused first topic closing, then thread removal, then banning.
Then people who were usually and otherwise decent, picked up the thread, and asked why this or that troll was banned.
Their topics were first closed, then removed then they earned banned status themselves.
Eventually, new forums were born.
This is why we now have so many loosely knit, yet separated communities.

You are discussing the RPG Codex. Ie, the place where people LP hentai games (go there now, there is one on GG).

Why the fuck should you take trolling there seriously?

It has been far too long since JCompton was banned from something.
