Just wanted some input on the mod install order:
  • Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn
  • Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal
  • Official Bioware Patch for ToB
  • Baldurdash Fixpacks/I am considering if I should install the G3 Bg2 Fixpack instead(is it stable?)
  • Banter Pack
  • Couple of mod NPCs
  • Crossmod
  • BG2 G3 Tweaks
  • Oversight Mod

And then...
8. Oversight Mod
9. BG2 G3 Tweaks

Well that's a good install order, but I would use the G3's BG2 Fixpack, and yes it's stable, or in the most extreme case, the BD-WeiDU fixpack's fixes(if it's required that is, but none of those require it).

New question....

How can I check that the ToB patch installed correctly(i.e. should I see a new readme, some version somwhere)?

Start the game, start a new game, and go to optoins, and the version should read 2.5.26498. There is also a file called BG2-ToBPatchReadMe.txt in the game directory...

Finally, got all the mods installed tongiht(busy day) and ran through the first Dungeon. So far I am very much enjoying the game.

Alas, I have one question ^^^

Running the above mods, longswords whilst listed in description as unsuable by mages is usable by both Imoen(theif dual classed to mage and a multi class thief mage). I tried reading the readme and info for the mods but could not find anything specifically detaling this. So, is this a bug or just incorrect text?

That's how said, that a single class mage can't use the longswords... as multi and dual classed characters can use both classes usable items.
