The option to sleep with him on the "good" path comes late in the romance, after the lovetalk about regrets (I think it's the second to last one). After that talk, when you rest next, a dialog about his journal should pop up (I was wrong when I said that was a lovetalk - it's a separate, uh...entity ^_^). It's completely optional, and turning him down doesn't end the romance or change the epilogue, but it does change the flirts a bit.

yeah the mod is more than great :hug: , please,please make some more flirtpacks or Romancing situations between Saverok and the mainchar... :wub:

Hi. Just finished the mod and should say first of all how much I enjoyed it. I thought the writing was really well done and brought a lot more depth to a well known character. I tend to lurk instead of post so I'm sure I don't say that near enough. I did have one problem right at the end of ToB. I didn't see anyone else list a similar problem so I can but assume that it's a conflict with one of my other installed mods or.... well if I new what else I suppose I wouldn't have to ask. Anyway, the problem. I started a new game in ToB, played through with a neutral good character on the no power path. All was well until the start of the final fight in the Throne. Melissan went through her long winded psycho speech, summoned in the 5 and then offered Sarevok power if he switched sides. Which unfortunately he did since he was still Chaotic Evil and my rep was maxed out. Thus I was forced to kill him right along with the other errant siblings. I do have Ascension installed, but it's been so long since I've played through without it I really can't remember if Melissan's offer is part of that or not. I went back to a save just prior to draining the final pool, used Shadowkeeper to switch his alignment to Chaotic Good and tried again. That fixed the switching sides issue, although I did get both the Ascension AND the Sarevok mod dialogue options regarding the Solar's offer as well as two Sarevok epilogues. Any suggestions? Maybe just a variable that needed to be set prior to Melissan's offer that wasn't? If you need more info let me know. I kept my save game prior to the final fight if you need to see it. I wasn't sure how to post my Weidu log - or if I even should as I'm sure it's rather long. Thanks again for the great mod and I apologize if my thoughts here seem like disjointed ramblings. Probably why I don't post much - making an idiot of myself on the internet is forever.

Yeah, unfortunately you can't just change his alignment in Shadowkeeper -- there's a variable that is set by his original BioWare talks when he changes alignment that you need to set -- so luckily this isn't a bug. Thank you so much for the report, though, it is SUPER appreciated -- and I'm sure Aeryn appreciates the feedback! :D


Edit: Actually, come to think of it... Ascension adds dialog to Sarevok there? That may be something to look into! Thanks!

Thanks for the quick reply - it's appreciated. And yea, it seems I know how to do just enough with Shadowkeeper along with reading the .d and .tra files to be dangerous  - meaning I really can break things spectacularly. :doh:

 

I still have just one more bit of confusion and please pardon my few remaining brain cells if I missed the obvious in your answer, but does that mean that Sarevok is supposed to abandon a good/high rep character on the Throne with the no power romance path? Once he switches sides, he's gone for good as I have to kill him. So I get no final choice dialogue and no epilogue. Is there a way to prevent that from happening? Other than play through as evil.

 

As for Ascension - I believe that is what redoes the final battle with Melissan. Her reanimation of the 5 along with Sarevok's offer, but as I said it's been a while since I've played through without Ascension so I can't remember what the vanilla fight was even like.

Is there some way to fix Sarevok's flirt timer?   I just got to Saradush, and I'm trying to do some of the quests but my progress is being impeded by Sarevok's incessant flirting.... LOL.    Literally, the moment I click on one of the flirt optios, the window pops up again.  And while I admit that there are worse things in life than watching Sarevok, I do want to get some of these quests done and out of the way...

 

So.. yes... is there a CLUA command to check his flirt timer and possibly fix it?  Thanks!

Okay, I fixed it, I think.  I checked my globals and apparently I had several concurrent (active) romances all stuck at the "1" stage.  I do have a committed relationship with Adrian, so I left that one alone and killed all the others.  I'm not sure if *that* was the issue, but it seems to have fixed Sarevok's dialogue diarrhea problem.  Strange.

I can't get the romance to start, is mod not compatible with Acension and Sarevok Friendship?                       EDIT: Nevermind, got it working! And thank you so much for making this mod!!!!  :Bow:

at the end both his talks are triggered when u r in the romance and he doesnt want u to take the power but then his standard evil talk too

Just played the mod, and really it is fantastic! I noticed a bug in the end though, after defeating Melissan he gives both his original (voiced) lines as well as the mod-lines.

The "Sarevok gives double speech at Solar talk" is not fixed in v1.4. Thank you for the reports, it will be fixed in a later version.

Hello everyone. The mod has a very unpleasant bug: after the first dialogue with Sarevok, the romance dialogues do not go through the PID. Sarevok gets stuck in the dialog state, but the dialog itself doesn't start. The game cannot be saved because it is impossible to save during dialogue. If you do not speak with Sarevok through PID, then the his default dialogues go, but not from the mod. Mods installed on the Throne of Bhaal: Ascension and Wheels of Prophecy (latest versions). I don't have a weidu log, because I had to reinstall the game without this mod. Game: BG2:EE. Sorry for my English, its not my native. And I know that mod was updated in 2019, but maybe someone will see this and fix this mod breaking bug. 

Edit: BG2:EE 2.6.6.0 with only Sarevok Romance installed is working fine. But I cannot play ToB anymore without Ascension and Wheels of Prophecy :(

Edit2: I've tested again with Ascension, Wheels and Sarevok installed... And I'm feel myself kinda stupid - these mods are working just how they should 0_0 Now I'm thinking what might have caused tthat bug with dialog...

It could be that one of your other mods added a dialogue for Sarevok but didn't give it high enough weight, and Sarevok Romance was installed before this mod, leading to the so called stutter bug where the NPC tries to start a dialogue but the engine can't call it because it's "below" the PID, leading to a stutter with the PID popping up every time.

 

One way to prevent this is to install NPC mods always after other mods that might add dialogues for them. NPC mods should always go after quest mods, anyway. (Also, if you install e.g. the Flirt Pack from PPG, install it late after all NPC mods to prevent this bug from happening).

Thank you, Jastey  :) I know about the load order and I installed Sarevok Romance after the quest mods for SoA part and got this stutter bug in the first place XD I reinstalled everything yesterday - Ascension, Wheels of Prophecy, Sarevok Romance (in that order) and other mods in right order after these mods - and romance mod started to work properly. Idk if it matters but I've tested  ToB with new created character. If bug will happen again with my main character... Well, it will be bad  :(

If it happens again tell us. There is ways to work around it, by identifying which script block is looping etc.

I have had the same bug. Using the sutter tool scriptThis is the block that keeps running form ascension improved sarevok interaction.

Probably the same or similar problem like for Edwin Romance. I solved it there using an intelligent structure with COPY_TRANS. This should be addressed because it probably also "swallows" other mod added ToL interjections.
