Hi all, I'm trying to figure out something that's been bugging me for a while.
So far as I can tell, Dragon Age was announced in 2004. The thing is, I'm 90% sure I remember BioWare's website talking about their new custom-setting fantasy RPG well before that, like 2002 either before or shortly after NWN was released. I'm fairly certain it can't have been later than that as I don't think I paid any attention to BioWare at all for several years after NWN, since I was so crushingly disappointed.
So, am I remembering that correctly or not? Was that an early form of Dragon Age or something else?
When did Bioware first start talking about Dragon Age

I'm pretty sure the first I heard of it was 2004; the original press release is probably still available on the website somewhere. -- nope, it's not in their press releases. I could have sworn they had a press release for it when it was first announced.
I don't recall it being before 2004, though.

Well the Wayback Machine has helped me to figure out that it is the first announcements of Dragon Age that I'm thinking about, and it must have been at least mid-2004.
It's kind of depressing how the memory plays tricks...
