Hi!

First of all, thanks for the great guide - after a few tries and mistakes, I got the game working properly.

The problem is, new games do run, but when I try reloading my old saves, the game crashes. I let the Bigg's mod adapt my saves. If anyone knows what the problem is, or if you need more info, please let me know. And sorry, I didn't check between steps if the saves had stopped loading because I was lazy

. Hope I don't have to start over again.

And one little remark: the 40 FPS speedened the game up a bit too much for me. It may suit some people (or it may vary depending on the computer), but 30 FPS seemed much nicer for me.

resolution...I've been successful
with Baldur's Gate 2 or Icewind 2
but when I tried PST's widescreen mod
I got this problem...

ERROR locating resource for 'COPY'
Resource [AR3013.WED] not found in KEY file:
[./chitin.key]
Stopping installation because of error.

You need to perform a full install of your game and make sure that the .ini poin
ts to the correct paths.

The game itself runs normally in default resolution, but I want it to look all better.
can anybody help me, im no programmer and i dont know whats the problem...[I've been

Hmm... you are trying to use Bigg's mod, right? I ran into that same problem many times, and the cause for me was that the modifications I had made in the .ini (regarding the CDALL folder) were slightly wrong. (I do use the 4CD version, so my settings are different, but I believe the basic idea is the same.

Here's how my .ini is set up:

[Alias]
HD0:=C:\Program Files\Black Isle\Torment
CD1:=C:\Program Files\Black Isle\Torment\CDALL\
CD2:=C:\Program Files\Black Isle\Torment\CDALL\
CD3:=C:\Program Files\Black Isle\Torment\CDALL\
CD4:=C:\Program Files\Black Isle\Torment\CDALL\
CD5:=C:\

Make absolutely sure that the path is correct: for example I stilll had "D:\" instead of "C:\" (and of course, you may have the game in another directory than C).

Hope that helped, but if that wasn't the problem, you should let us know. I'm not really an expert on computers, so someone else might know better.

And if you have Windows XP sp3, Vista or 7, not to install to the "Program Files" sub folders like in the above...

I got the 2c version and running on
windows 7 in my netbook,,
and through perhaps 12 times reinstalling
the game with thin luck.

I'm new to all of this and the fact that
I been waiting to long to play this game
keeps me awake in the night,, :wacko:

Myself have opinion that
the error appear when the bigg's mod trying
to unpack the .CBF file [those two AR2000.cbf & AR3013.cbf
respectively]. or perhaps the CHITIN.KEY itself
is corrupt, i dunno. please sires, would
somebody upload those three files so i can
at least trying to figure it out myself?

And perhaps the typo is the cause of the missed install... ever though about that ?
So try to reinstall the Widescreen mod after you correct the typo in the Torment.ini file...

Ouh, and you do have the last "\" after the CDALL's right ?

Hello can anyone help me?

I've done every step how to setup the game with widescreen and mods from here

The game works fine but when I get to the place where Annah shows TNO was killed infront of the wall when you suppose to get some of your memory and shows the cinematic when you are getting killed by the shadows the game crashes and it shows this

"An assertion failed in D:\Torment\Source\Chitin\ChVidPal.cpp at the line number 1124.

The game install folder is in D:\Games\Planescape - Torment.

I have no idea what the problem is... tried reinstalling the game and applying the mods from start but its still the same.

Is there anything in the folders called "cache" or "temp" if there's files, delete them.

And if this is the cranium rat issue, extract the archive content form here to the override folder...

I tried deleting everything in folders temp and cache but its still the same...

Here is the pic where it crashes

When i click "close your eyes and try to remember" the game crashes and it shows that error.

I dont remember exactly but when i played PT long time ago wasnt there a face on the wall with you are suppose to talk but there is nothing on the pic. Maybe thats the mistake but dunno im preety noob with mods ....

the first time it crashed was a save you loaded "reused"?

What resolution are you using and is it one supported by your monitor? Pretty sure ChVidPal errors related to problems with Widescreen/UI mod. I tracked down code location (based on line # in error) but I couldn't say what is causing your problem.

Hi... I readed all the guide, but I have a doubt.

Installing 1.1 official patch still makes the savegames work for a started game.
After this, I saved and patched to the Fixpack, but when I load the 1.1 game it crashes.

Is there a way to make this work without starting again ?
I tryed also to put all items in a container before saving from 1.1 to Fixpack but the game still crashes, is there some savegame editor to make this work ?

If I send you the savegame can you convert it to a "full patched" version of the game ?
