So once the installation is complete (following the guide) I play and face 2 problems:
- Suddenly (after exiting my inventory mostly) I cannot 'push' the screen with my mouse to navigate the map. No really damaging but frustrating.

Try disabling the "Center on Character" option in the menu on the right of the screen, just above the AI button.

- and the game is crashing one time out off three when I enter a building.

I have this problem every now and then in my last rerun, but not that often. Does the problem go away when you reload the Autosave and reenter the building again? (it does for me).

Hi,
I'm trying to install PST (4CD version) on a Windows 7 x64 machine, in c:\Games\Torment.
I get the same problem as -Eyaldourn-, namely that my Torment.ini has been changed, but it's not loading for me. It must go looking for genMovA.bif, and not find it, despite the fact that the file is in the right director, and the right size. However, unlike -Eyaldourn-, I definitely have the 4CD copy, and I definitely patched it first.
Here is the relevant part of my .ini:

[Alias]
HD0:=c:\games\Torment
CD1:=F:\cd1
CD2:=c:\games\cdall\
CD3:=c:\games\cdall\
CD4:=c:\games\cdall\

Help anyone?

Looks like a comprehensive guide, think i might re-install PST now and give it a bash with all the goodies that are out there now for it.

Thanks I'll try that.

I don't think so, because when I restart the game and reload the game from the autosave, the game keep crashing when entering a bulding (but not when changing the zone).

Anyway thank you for you're reply ^^

Hello, and thank you to all for the thousands of hours of work that obviously went into these various mods & tweaks and guides to installing them.

I made it through the Ultimate guide -

and I started the program, oohed and aahed over the higher resolution -

and then I watched the screen go black as PS:T totally shut down. And that's all I can get!

Having now installed all these tweaks/mods - I do not know how to "back out of them" and figure out what might be wrong.

Can anyone help or give me a place to start?

MattiePDX, the guide does recommend that you check each step as you install them. You can also easily uninstall them by running their individual setup files again.

Are you sure this is the right directory? "c:\games\cdall\" doesn't look right.

Any fix yet for this building zoning issue?

Hi,

First of all thanks for the amazing work.
Now back to main concern here if you might. :) I have a strange problem since yesterday and I can't fix it. Let me explain. I installed the game some months ago following this guide on my windows 7 x64 computer. Everything worked fine on 1680*1050 and I was very pleased. But yesterday I restarted the game after a long break from it just to remember some things. I quit after finding what I was looking for and a strange message box appeared. It's in french so it basically says "my computer doesn't work on 16 bits color so the some of the game animation and graphics won't work. We ask you to switch to fullscreen* or change for 16 bits color mode. Would you like to keep the actual mode? Yes or No". I think a says no but I'm not sure. After that I restarted the game just to be sure and now the graphics looks like this:

and

Everything is "blury" and since then it won't come back to normal. I uninstalled and re installed the game countless time... It's just broke, no matter what i tried it's still broke. :crying:

* I'm almost certain I was in full screen mod already...

Here is my config if it helps: i5 750, 4go ram, HD6850 with 11.1 driver.

Please I'm desperate, really. Can you help me fix this? Many thanks.

It works with D3DWindower, thank you.
But it doesn't tell me what the problem is... Is it my graphic card?

Hey everyone.

I've been playing through Torment with all mods successfully installed on Windows 7 x64 Ultimate on the GOG.com version, and it worked great... Up to the art gallery. For some reason the game will keep crashing in the gallery. I'm going to try a complete reinstall to make sure everything else worked, and hopefully be able to import the old saves. I also have an XP partition I might try if that fails. But, if anyone has found a fix for this issue, I'd be glad to hear it.

Hmmm :( You're the first person I've heard of having this problem. Strange. Did the reinstall help?

Yes, this looks like a Direct3D problem.

Woah, actual response, good thing I'm obsessive, and kept this window open for a month.

Reinstall, as well as an install onto XP, did not help. Part of the art gallery seems to be triggering it, but as I tried to play more, it wasn't the only area. Sad :(. I might just have to finish building that old machine from spare parts to be able to play it. Have a good old CRT and everything.

Hi, I have a bit of a problem. I am in the brothel for slating itellectual lusts and am talking to the story collector. Everything goes fine until i try to get dak'kon to tell her his story, the story text comes up but i dont get a "carry on" option or anything. The game doesnt look like it is frozen there is just no way to complete the dialogue. I suppose i could go without telling her that story but i really wanted to be able to complete everything. Also i am getting the exact same problem when asking morte if he is really a mimir. I have followed the guide up until this point and havent come across any other bugs other than these 2. Any suggestions please.

Hello all! I was just wondering what happened to The Biggs Widescreen Mod, I can't seem to get either the gibberlings3 site or the downloads on Thunderpeel2001's awesome guide to work. Does anyone know when or if they will be available again somewhere soon?

I've just noticed it and here's the related topic.

I had downloaded the latest version (3.05) just a few days ago, but on another computer; I'll upload it as soon as I can find it.
In the meantime, here's version 3.04
