(this is deep in the dialog tree)

"It doesn't know itself? What do you mean?"
"The city exists, but it does not *know* itself. In not *knowing* itself, its existence is flawed."
"How is it flawed?"
"The city exists in opposition to itself. It has set itself apart from the planes, yet it seeks to be everywhere at once. Its walls are doors, yet it keeps these doors locked. Such an existence tells of a thing that does not *know* itself. In not *knowing* itself, it is flawed."
"When you say this city is everywhere at once, what do you mean?"
"The city itself is built from doors. These doors lead everywhere."
"Where are these doors?"
"They are everywhere within the city..." Dak'kon falls silent for a moment. "It is said that every bounded space within the City-known-as-Sigil is a door that leads elsewhere."
"I don't understand."
"Imagine the door to a home. Remove the door. The frame remains. The space within the frame is still a door."
I see two instances of: "Why did you say the city is flawed again?"

And, this isn't a problem of conditions, there are really 2 nodes of which one is not needed.
The second node leads to 'dakkon waits', like he doesn't answer my question

It looks to me like the ALTER_TRANS DDAKKON BEGIN 238 END BEGIN 2 END BEGIN "REPLY" ~#59470~ END already in the fixpack should fix that one (changing the second strref to "I had some other questions about our travels..").

This sounds like an issue with your dialog.tlk, because the responses are different in my game. Here's the responses to that state:


@59457: "But it's just... an open space."
@59459: "Why did you say the city is flawed again?"
@59470: "I had some other questions about our travels..."
@59463: "There are other things I would *know*..."
@59465: "I see. Let's move on."

The third one leads to "Dak'kon waits.". It sounds like somehow the 59459 line got copied over 59470.

EDIT: I see that the problem does exist in the vanilla game... lemme see if I can nail down where it gets fixed in my mods.

Yes, looks like i don't have the fixpack (i just thought i had it). This is fixed by 3.02
