Yeah, the piercings don't stand out now, and he has a complete nose, so all the previous gripes are corrected. :)

Now for the new ones! XD Now, I'm not an expert in the subject by any means, but:

The shadow cast by his nose looks a little weird.

I think what makes the piercings look weird is that I don't think they have shadows...

Otherwise, utterly brilliant work!

Icen

Well I'm glad I fixed the previous things! That means I can fix the others! But sheesh, I didn't think this would take a *third* time. Bah!

And thanks deary!

:D ;)

Yeahh, looking more perfect that before now. ^^

Only one gripe springs to mind, since you even magnified it now. What's with the weird mess he's got hanging in his hair just by his ear? O-o
You used a very smoooooothed out look for most of the hair, so in comparison, that looks a great deal like pigeon-bombings or bubble-gum. .p

Still.
*Basks in your radiant awesomeness* .p

Ha! My smoothing tool was going crazy on me and doing some...odd things and no it was not me I swear! Well maybe a little since I am so inexpierienced with this stuff but still! You can safely assume that I'll be doing it *again*. Practice does make perfect after all.

:D :P

Kinda looks like a turkey's head hanging limply off the guy's head, no :D ?

The face is quite nicely realistic. Even without the turkey head, though, the hair doesn't quite match that realism (of course, if the hair is still in progress, you may disregard this).

Keep up the good work :) .

A turkey? Ha! That's a good one. But yeah, I got a little lazy on the hair, not to mention if I'm having obvious difficulty with this, I don't even want to attempt realistic hair until I am assured that people won't be going blind on my account. It messes with people's consciences ya know.

:D :P

Ah, yes, mayhaps it is a symbol of this guy going cold turkey on something? :D
Indeed, he is looking longingly at something, surely it must be something he is thoroughly addicted to.

I think the (rest of the) hair is sorta stylish as is. Certainly not realistic looking, but stylish. The portrait is kinda realistic in a thin-faced elven manner, but it's not very textured, so think the smoothed hairs suit it quite fine, but ehheh.

Oh you truly are perceptive aren't you Wee? (And yes that's your new nickname now!) He's by personality as well as that impassable elven nature not the most enganging conversationalist out there, but he isn't a Xan or Kivan. I'm glad you seem to like the hair, that to me is the most endearing thing about it, not to mention that part was the hardest to paint. :P

And he is elven, so I'm glad he looks it!

You rock. No seriously.

 :D

I am almost *positive* now that all errors are corrected. Hopefully the loner strand of hair does not look like a turkey anymore. Wee, I'm looking at you! :P

I think my next rendering of him will be a realistic and good ole' fashioned charcoal sketch.

:D

It does! *hides* ;-P
Seriosly speaking, I think you should work more on the shading of that strand of hair. It looks too different compared to the rest of his hair.
On a closer inspection, I also noticed that his ear does not stand out very well, you may consider adding some shading on the hair *above* the ear.

At least your honest dear. :P Sometimes I ask my guyfriend Kekoa what he thinks and I have to beat the truth out of him. It's all rather tedious. Not to mention that I had a special brush for the hair, and now that I deleted that swatch by accident when I went to delete a purple one instead I had to use that rather ghoulish shade of gray. *Sigh* Oh well, like I said. I'll do a charcoal sketch of him instead which is where my art proficiency lies and in the meantime go and dig up some of those wondrous tutorials on how to paint stuff with Paintshop...

And maybe someday, my drawings will be as good as yours. :P

Um. what are you trying to do with that special clump of hair? Why not render it just like the rest? .p

Try to make it stand out more than the rest, but as you might (or might not) previously read I had a special brush and swatch with which I would use my smoothing tool and then highlight certain angles of the picture to get the smooth blended hair. But I lost my color swatch when going to delete a purple one so trying to get the hair right has been hard for me. :( Especially when I borrowed the brush *and* the swatch from a fellow artist.

Methinks I'll submit something else very soon. Just...not computer generated until I can get a better hang of it. ;)

Agree with Legion, this "hair" really sucks. And that looks suspicious.
