You appear sad, it is also sad.
You appear glad, it is also glad.
"I read about the evils of drinking, so I gave it up." "You gave up drinking?" "No, I gave up reading..."

Unlike myself, not one and one I fare,
I ride and walk at once for me two bodies bear.
"I read about the evils of drinking, so I gave it up." "You gave up drinking?" "No, I gave up reading..."

Silk an' satin was her gown
Silk an' satin, gold an' velvet
Guess her name, three times I've telled it
And another one:
Long, swift daughter of the forest and borne along,
With an innumerable throng of companions
equally encompassed,
I speed over many paths, leaving not a trace behind.
And another one...
Two brothers we are; great burdens we bear,
By which we are heavily pressed;
The truth is to say, we are full all the day
And empty when we go to rest.
"I read about the evils of drinking, so I gave it up." "You gave up drinking?" "No, I gave up reading..."

And drops a white glove at each window.
And another one...
What has roots as nobody sees,
Is taller than trees,
Up, up it goes,
And never goes?
"I read about the evils of drinking, so I gave it up." "You gave up drinking?" "No, I gave up reading..."

And when she laughs and no tears fall, her laughter saddens all hearts.
Another one:
Soldiers without souls fight without pay.
Another one:
It increases and decreases
And no one sees it
It is not a fire
And yet it can be quenched.
Yet again:
What is it that is wingless and legless
Yet flies and cannot be imprisoned
"I read about the evils of drinking, so I gave it up." "You gave up drinking?" "No, I gave up reading..."

I can think of one immediate problem with this--and with a lot of the riddles Tashia already asks in-game, too.And another one...
Two brothers we are; great burdens we bear,
By which we are heavily pressed;
The truth is to say, we are full all the day
And empty when we go to rest.
They're posed at Spellhold.
I'd really suggest taking all riddles that duplicate riddles used elsewhere in the game out.

However, up to this point, I do believe outside of one individual mentioning a riddle book for me to peruse, I am the only one to even take a stab at adding new riddles, even though the thread has been open a long time.
"I read about the evils of drinking, so I gave it up." "You gave up drinking?" "No, I gave up reading..."

"Brought to the table.
Cut and served.
Never eaten."
This had me stumped for hours, until I found the obvious answer: Cards.
Boy I felt stupid after this incident.

It's a great game. Good story, and it's chapter based, like BG. Made many years before BG, as well. Never did complete it, though.Hmm, looks like a good riddle. Myself, I've heard of the game, but never played it.
I have the whole list of the game's riddles on my HD. Here's two more:
1. "Be you ever so quick, With vision keen, By your eyes, We are
never seen. Unless, perchance, It should come to pass, You see our
reflection, In a looking glass."
Answer = Eyes
2. "Put into a pit. Locked behind a steel grate.
Guarded all through the night, still it goes out."
Answer = Fire
