Return to work on that hack you have the nerve to call a mod, and trouble this forum with your presence no longer.Ouch. Nothing but yourself? Than you need more luck than ever...Luck? Perfection needs no luck. I tread the true path and trust in nothing but myself.

If you really are after "perfection", you shouldn't underestimate the potential of an installation with BOTH RtW and Refinements. B)

Trust my words
I said this once and I feel inclined to say it again, why do I feel inclined, dunno, just a feeling, prolly t.v. feeding my overactive imagination which is slowly leading me into dimmentia

Anyhow, Quitch, sorry to hear about your hands.
Hope all goes well, and it's nice that there's activity in the forum.

I found a link to this mod from someone's signature at GameBanshee forums and I am posting here only to let you know that I am very much looking forward to this mod.
It has been a couple years since I played Baldur's Gate II and at the time I was playing it, the only mod I was aware of was "The Darkest Day" mod. Well, I recently re-installed Baldur's Gate II and went to Bioware's site to check if there were any new patches or mods to the game (the game being this old, I was *almost certain* that there wouldn't be a new patch but I still wanted to make sure and I was hoping for new mods) and I should say that MY JAW WAS ON THE FLOOR when I saw all the stuff available for download.
I saw the Ascension mod and the optional tougher characters/monsters patches on Bioware's website (if I remember correctly) and found myself linked to several other websites with lots of other stuff from there. Right now, I am playing with the Tactics, Ascension and the Ease of Use mods combined with the Baldurdash fix pack. I don't have all the components installed from these mods as I consider several of them cheating but *more importantly* spoiling the fun of the game for me personally. However, I am *OVERJOYED* that people are still writing mods and bug fixes for this game. I couldn't believe that most of the bugs that annoyed me when I played Baldur's Gate II years ago have been patched with the Baldurdash fix pack (altough if I am not mistaken, the Baldurdash fix pack is pretty old as well) but my biggest surprise was finding your mod. You seem to have started this mod quite some time ago but are still working on it. Well, I suppose it came to a point where you spent so much time and effort that not finishing it would be unthinkable.
I know I blabbered a lot here but my point was just to let you know that there are people out there like me that *DO* care for your dedication and effort. The main reason I am saying this is because reading this thread gives me the impression that only (or most) of the people that care about this mod are people that are very hardcore BG II gamers and/or people that have been on this forum (and maybe other forums) that simply know you and follow your progress along. Furthermore, I see that not everybody seems to be supporting you in making this mod when it is evident that you spent so much time and effort only to make the experience of this game more fun for everyone around the world. I especially feel for Quitch as he has been working on this mod with Carpal Tunnel Snydrome. I really hope he gets better.
OK, you said you needed some motivation so here's my 2 cents:EVEN IF THIS MOD TAKES 5 YEARS TO FINISH, I WILL BE THERE TO PLAY IT WHEN IT IS FINISHED AND ENJOY IT AND YOUR EFFORTS WILL NOT HAVE BEEN WASTED. Neither do I think that I am the only one with these feelings (I hope )

IE. games rule!
I love writing short srories, (S/F. more than fantasy), and I cannot begin to imagine the writing that must be going on for this mod. can't wait to see it guys.

BTW, the team is as follows:
Cuvieronius - Team Leader
Quitch - Dialogue
Xyx - AI
Dyara - This and that
Caswallon - Scripting
FSR - WeiDU packaging
Littiz - WeiDU dialogue
Those are only main responsibilities, people often tend to do a bit of everything. We have had help from other quarters, but the above is the, as it stands, core team, with myself, Cuv, Xyx and Dyara (almost) in it from pretty much day one.

Some of us have been among the lucky ones to play a beta version. I can wait a while longer. This is a mod that will be finished. And it will be a kickass one.
